Rep Power: 0 blahman get your info straight. the lotus elise comes with the celica engine. 2jz is way too big to fit in it the engine bay. the lotus runs low 13 quarter mile and hits 0-60 in less than 5. its a true sports car. and 00celicagts6spd's has an amzing fast car. and the fact that he may just be one of the best drag racers here. he has posted videos so dont question his times.

no, the elise is NOTHING like a celica except the engine.
1900 lbs car stock with about 160whp stock. plus RWD and a chasis made to outhandle everything.
0-60 of 4.4 seconds and a low 13 second 1/4 mile stock.

this is the ultimate k20 powered car. Its supercharged too.

They did a feature on Top Gear about this car. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, it beat a Carrera GT and a Honda CBR600RR around their race track

Rep Power: 323 Damn, that's awesome... I wonder why they don't just put Honda engines inside stock ones... The power is better and the engine mods that are available outweigh the one's available for the Celica's engine.
That Exige looks nice.

Oh, and BTW, that Exige on that website isn't an American Elise with an engine swap. It's a real European Exige with a K20A swapped into it. You can't buy the Exige here in America. There used to be a company that could import the Euro versions. The reason for swapping engines is because the stock Rover engines in the Euro Elise/Exige sux0r, IMO (and according to a lot of people).
*drooling* What I wouldn't give for Lotus to bring us a US street-legal Exige. *more drooling* I went to the local exotic car dealership a couple weeks back and sat in a US Elise. I definitely wouldn't want to get in and out of that car too much. It was a royal pain. Most certainly NOT a daily-driver kind of car. Other than that, wickedly cool car. It was Silver with the Black interior. Very purty.

The celica is not 1900lbs.... And the celica is not a 13 second car. If you think yours is... don't go betting money on the strip with a stock celica.
