Tell me if this ain't some sh*t.
Back in early August my AEM V2 broke around the joint where the mounting bracket is welded to the pipe (a common problem in our application). I called up AEM, sent pictures and sent my pipe for a replacement. After many calls and 5 months later, I still have no intake. EVERY time I call the same guy just says they are on back order and I'll get it in 2 weeks. He has said this 3 times now. On a couple of occasions, he has retaken my address which leads me to believe he just keeps forgeting. I called the other day and now he is saying no intakes for 7th gens will be available until the end of the year. Am I getting shafted or what? Are there really none available until next year? I wish this joker could just give me my money back so I can buy another intake (non-AEM of course). The problem is I bought it from an online dealer, so I dont think I can get my money refunded. I'm just so damned pissed about their lack of customer service.
yeah man that is crappy. i got AEM short ram and they sent me the wrong one to begin with. the first one i got was for an accord. so then i had to send it back and of course i didnt have the right one for like a month. i do find it hard to believe they dont have any more V2's....i think they are bs'n u man i dont know what to tell ya.

Mine broke after 4 months of usage.... I also called up AEM. From the looks of it, I had a pre-carb legal version, but it didnt matter, it broke!! I also called many times and kept buggin the guy for a week. And I finally got a replacement 2 and half weeks later.... sorry this happened man. As for customer service, they only have ONE person working on these type of problems. He also asked for my name and address many times too, but I think he started to remember me after I called him so much haha.
best believe it man...... name brands dont always mean good things.

actually, AEM didnt even want me to send my old one to them. Check my "members ride" to see the LOVELY pictures of a broken V2 where it really "broke the welds off the INTAKE!"

^^ I dont really see too much a reason too worry.... I mean, the design does kind of suck and I asked AEM for one of their rubber pieces that go where the washer goes.... they come with some of their CAI.... but they said it wasnt necessary. Someone on here said they did a poor welding job on mine.... but as I said, I had one of the pre-carb legal versions.

Same thing happened to me so I just gave up and bought another one. They fixed the problem by putting another weld where they used to break so this one that I got now shouldn't break. If it does I'm just going to weld it together myself.

There is only one mounting bracket for the V2 in our application. There's a bracket thats welded to the pipe that monts to the tab that sticks out from the transmission case. There is NO soft mount. The first time I called they guy asked me if I installed it correctly with the soft mount. I was like "soft mount?" He looked it up and our app does not need one. Well, that's bush. There have been many other people having this exact problem. I think it's caused my the engine vibrations. If my new intake doesnt come with one, I'll make something myself. Some sort of rubber washer.
