vin number question

anyone have their 2002 civic ex coupe being classified as a "honda civic ex/si" when doing a vin number check.

Yea lots of insurance companies will put an EX and a Si in the same quote bracket. So it would make sense if it did. That always pissed me off. The Si's have a higher premium cause they are considered sports cars but the EX is in the same bracket? An EX is not a sports car off the showroom lot. High theft rates with the Si's are also to blame for high premiums.

so are you paying premiums for your insurance becuase it is classified as a "EX/SI"? or does your insurance company ingorantly ignores the fact that the SI and EX are different?

no. lol. way wrong. you don't get "penalized" for having vtec. insurance companies base rates on driver, demographic of vehicle, engine size, accident rate of vehicle, theft rate of vehicle, average repair cost, etc. there's not a "vtec" clause. lol

my honda S2000 costs me $15 more a month to insure than my civic dx did.

haha...insuring a driver under 25 sucks assss...ask your parents if they pay for your insurance...mine do

insuring me costs more than my parents combined...
