is this bad for my auto?

I used to screw around trying to get my auto LX civic with I/H/E to go faster. I stopped trying. Do what I did because unless you have a boosted or swapped civic, your auto is going to get owned by pretty much everything. Spend that money into making it look better and if you are a speed freak then just go trade your econobox for something that's faster.

bgoetz, i was saying that the revs go up 250-750rpm when upshifting then back down by aboout 2.5k. the reason i shifted my self is cause i didnt want the d3 shifting at red line then it jumps some more during the shift like it does all the other times im driving it in D3 or D4

well then i guess i'm screwed and stuck with the slow 4 speed auto. i guess when i actually have money i can do a swap myself....get a used tranny and get all the parts from a junkyard from a trashed vic. or i'll just wait to get a whole new car completley when i'm sick of the vic. anyways thanks guys. maybe i shoudl jsut take it easy on the civic.
You should have just got a stick, if your car's not too customized yet just trade it in for a newer stick. it's all good playing with the tranny like that, but it's going to be sad when you break the tranny and go vroom vroom, and don't go anywhere. lust leave it in drive, and throw nitrous, or a turbo on there, you should've got a stick.
