I have a vid of M6's going around in Nurburgring (SP?)...... they come with the so loved (sarcasm) i-drive. Basically, it may go like this for BMW.... odd #'s for sedans, even #'s for coupes.
Nothing works better than a Chris except a Honda.

I loved the 6-series ever since it came out... it's the only BMW that I'd purchase in the current lineup. The M6 is like icing on the cake!
The 3-series will keep it's odd number in both coupe and sedan form because BMW has invested so much into that name and it's their number one selling car internationally.

Cha, that's nothing. my mom could do that in her accord stock. Ha!
He just said that those numbers are for a STOCK 6-series, not the M6. Obviously specs on the new M6 are not out yet.
I'm with you all the way on BMW bringing out a new 8-series. And, the way things are going at BMW, it looks like our wish may come true.
With their current line-up, and coming line-up, it's going to go a little something like this:
There will be the new 1-series sedan, and the coupe/convertible versions of it is going to be the 2-series. The new 3-series will become a sedan, and the coupe/convertible versions are going to be the 4-series. Then there's the new 5-series, whose coupe/convertible versions are the 6-series. Then, of course, that brings us to the 7-series. I have a feeling we may see an 8-series (coupe version of the 7-series). Some of what I have said is fact, some is speculation; but, I definitely think that's the way it's going to go.
