The Mazda 3 is sweet.

If the Mazda 3 came out in 2002 I would've definitely bought it over the Civic.

like i said in my other posts, i love the direction mazda is heading. The article saids the 3 is gonna come witha turbo detuned 2.3L with 220hp. Thats crazy, i bet it'll be as fast as the type S and be 6k cheaper. i hope that offer the mazdaspeed for the sedans too, i think there hatches look ugly. I hope honda wakes up soon. I dont understand why a lot of us have to mod our civics, so they can have the same things as other cars in its class that come with it stock.

they say in the article that the 3 has the detuned engine of the mazda 6 260hp. If the engines are the same 2.3 maybe all you need to do is mod the ECU for more boost. Possible?

I love the direction that Mazda is taking desing wise. Building turbo charged cars will defintitely boost Mazda's image

...like it did for Subaru couple years back.

Man... It was only a matter of time till they came out with a replacement for the MSP. The MS3 will be awesome.

Honda should look over at their camp and bring in something that can compete with that.

Mm...direct injection, finally.

Hopefully the 3 can make up for shortcoming in straight line acceleration that the Mazdaspeed Protege had...though, you can mod the hell out of those things...
