-the headlights r flat, unlike the older one where there would be bumps stickin out the headlights
-new red/white taillights
-new 17's
-new interior touches
the kdm version has:
-big brake upgrade
-HIDs
-more but i forgot them
unfortunately there are no engine upgrades because they need them bad...hyundai made a big step with the tibby but they still need improvements, thats why they are so cheap!
hmm, don't tiburons make ok rally cars or is that just me imagining? either way, i wanna see one boosted.

I have always wanted one of these cars. A buddy of mine in my Spanish class had one (his parents bought it for him, lucky bastard) and it sounded so sweet with intake and exhaust. They are beautiful looking cars... and the only Hundai I will respect. :P

too bad there isnt power to back up the sweet sound and looks...
but its got potential:
injen cai=15whp
sharkracing full-cat exhaust=15whp (dyno on www.sharkracing.com)
also they alot of supercharged tibbys, ive seen a couple turboed ones in the forums too
I find it humorous that people who own cars that are not as powerful, agile, or rigid as these new tibs hating on them, and criticizing the car. It's a great car for its value, and has earned some much needed respect for korean engineering.

lol wow i didnt mean to start any **** in here
i understand why people think korean cars suck, which is very true when you see some of their cars (daewoos, kias, hyundais) but i gotta give it to hyundai for the new 02-05 tiburon. after all their sucky *** cars and failures, i see the tiburon as HUGE improvement and i think they gained alot more respect from more people due to the new tiburon. they also have lots of potential, way more than a 7thgen civic.
i dropped my hate for hyundais and now i love the new tibby more than ever. its a beautiful car and a freakin exotic compared to other korean cars. i hope to get one soon!

I agree with most people that the new tiburon is a big step for hyundai. Even the next gen sonota doesnt look too bad.
So the new tibbys come with slotted brakes stock? Damn thats nice. I kinda wish i got a tibby instead of my civic, but the civic is better for what i do then the tibby would anyways. I like the new front end, but it is a rip from the 04 civics. Then again the new SS cobalt looks like it has a 03 civic front end. Everyone now barrows everyone elses styles. We got japanese cars, trying to look like european cars, and american cars trying to look like japanese cars.

Just because 3 people you know are having problems doesn't mean that ALL Hyundais are in the same boat.
My CIVIC blew its transmission at just 45K miles...and many other automatic owners are having problems with their transmissions too.
Go to the Vehicle Issues / Problems section on this forum and you tell me that a Honda is perfect.
Do you know how many TSB's there are just for the 7th gen?
Honda isn't perfect, nor is Hyundai.
Of course in a broader sense Honda is closer to perfect than Hyundai is, but you have to give credit when it is deserved.
I can't verify this right now but I remember reading that in some parts of Europe, Hyundai is considered a better product than Honda.
So please, let's not jump to conclusions.
I'm sure all the little kiddies who surf this site now think Hyundai sucks
