Rep Power: 0 screw the RSX, Get a TSX
Consider this - the TSX's gearbox uses quite a bit of magnesium which pays big dividends in weight reduction (K20 does not use any magnesium). In race trim the Realtime TSX is actually lighter than the RSX, though they have to add weight and race it 50lb heavier than the RSX. I need to verify this but I was told by Realtime that the reason the TSX is lighter is largely because the TSX drivetrain weighs less than the RSX drivetrain, thanks mostly to the lightweight transmission.
Also, I think the weight difference between just the motors is much less than 50lbs. Yes, the block itself is physically larger, but only slightly, and the K24 does have a larger intake manifold, but these differences are probably on the order of less than 10lbs. The K24A2 also uses a new semi-exotic grade of steel in the rods which makes them unbelievably strong and impossibly light. I was told that the material's fairly expensive - so far the 200hp K24 is the only Honda application yet. They're not deemed as necessary in the K20 (even the R tune) because of the much lower piston speeds of their geometry.
Arai-san (the chief engineer of all honda 4-cylinder projects) flatly stated that from an engineering standpoint the TSX's K24 is the crown jewel of Honda's 4-cylinder line (including F20C and K20A) - he's very proud of it. Considering the mild state of current tune (you can see the "hot" cams are clearly not reaching for much), this makes me think that there is a much hotter version waiting to pounce. Heck, with a simple open element underhood intake system, mine's arlready nudging up against 190whp - not too bad.

Rep Power: 278 Defaintely a nice car.. I wouldn't turbo it.. I would leave it stock and just do some rims.. maybe a drop.. i might not even do that..
Everything you do to a car, affects 10 other things.. and it never runs right again.. I'd be afraid to screw it up.

Rep Power: 252 hell, just get an TL
people chose to mod their luxury car to make it go faster because they want luxury/performance at the same time. i know most lxurious cars are already fast but people just want everything they could.
kind of like saying who mods their ecno-civics (performance wise that is)

I think it's dumb when people mod civic for performance as well, i don't descriminate
I can see modding a luxury car for abit more pep, but RACING with it is retarded IMO. All the extras people pay for (nav, leather seats, A/C, etc.) get taken out in the name of performance. It would be cheaper, and faster, to buy an old camaro or stang and make it fast

Rep Power: 0 yeah, but then you would be like everyone else. another reason i would get the TSX over rsx is the kind of girl a tsx would attract compared to rsx.

If you need a car to get girls, I feel very sorry for you. Most people on this site don't need their cars to get the ladies. Now back on topic, you are saying screw the RSX and get the TSX off this one article, which is fine, you are entitled to your opinion. Its just some people prefer a coupe/hatch over a sedan or vice versa. But to say screw one car because a couple of things on one car is better than the other in racing form is just lame. Like I said, 95% of people who buy cars or even mod them won't even go as far as RealTime. Btw, mod for mod, the RSX is faster than the TSX. Don't get me wrong though, there is nothing wrong with the TSX, its just a different preference.

Rep Power: 0 People really have to Hop off the STI's ****. Its NOT THAT GOOD OF A CAR! Just because it is all wheel drive doesnt mean the handling is automatically going to be perfect. I have many friends who own Sti's and i have friends who have type s's with MILD suspension work and they WILL outhandle the sti's. The quality of their parts arent that good either. Bottom line is just because your buying a Japanese car doesnt mean automatically your buying a quality car, i wouldnt buy any other cars except a honda toyota and some nissans. 35K i would get a used rsx S build internals like crazy and boost and still have enough left for coilovers and good rims, i guarantee you ill be running mid to high 12's....have faith in Honda!

Rep Power: 281 I like the shape of the TSX I could go for that. Lowered suspension OEM skirts, and body colorored trim not chrome. Its big but not that big. I wonder how much heavier it is than the RSX?
Hey guys did you see the bumper on the 2005 rsx. I'm not feeling that black divider, it should be body coloured on a car like that.

Rep Power: 0 Yea, I can agree with that. I love the looks of the TSX, when its time for me to get a bigger car, I'll be getting a TSX or a TL if I can afford it, just a nice cruiser. I'm starting to get tired of this whole boy racer thing and have been thinking of trading in for a bigger car, but I don't it to be that slow and it has to have HIDs STOCK.
