It may be the brakes... Do you ride the brakes? Though the same question could be asked about the clutch.... Do you ride the clutch?
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

if you run your car hard it smells afterwards from burning oil/any particles melting on your exhaust pipes. also it can easily be brakes/bad catalytic converter(not so much a rubber smell though)/or something could be leaking and boiling on hot metal. who knows.... smell around and find out.
obviously also clutch if you ride it too much or do alot of stopping.

im assuming that your car is still pretty new? 04? i asked a similar question a while back, and people told me its the engine breaking in.

i used to have that smell sometimes. It was from my exhuast burning my rear G5 lip. Another reason for it to smell is if you have plastic bags melted to the underside of the exhuast, (from driving over them).

I just started smelling burning rubber a lot recently. I think my clutch is goin, its at like 87,000 miles. Plus me and 2 friends learned to drive on it when it was new (i was a dumbas* for doing that). It could be that I got new suspension though and like faster turns. but I think my clutch, a couple of things made me think my clutch was starting to go when I was driving. I forget what. time for a new flywheel i guess...
one time i redlined my engine and then 10 minutes later when i parked there was this bbq smell from the hood, but afterwards the smell never came back, i have an auto. Maybe i should have the car checked while its still under warranty.
