wrong forum i know, but i need a fast reply... sorry.

i'm doing the diy rotor replacement, and those damn screws are a big pain in the ***, i'm just about stripping them. i don't have the impact screwdriver. how else could i get those suckers off? how do you drill them out? and how much are impact screwdrivers?

they are reverse thread. Go in the opposite direction. You are just tightening them heh.

25 bucks at sears/craftsman... and yiu can try to beat the screws w/ a hammer and yse a screw druver after......an if you strip it you may want to drill it and not put any screws after(no use anyway/my opinion)

Have you tried my suggestion??? Honestly its not un-common for screws in that area to be reverse threaded. Just try it what do you have to lose? Instead of trying to loosen the screws try tightening them. If they are reverse threaded they will come out.

just get an air drill(if you have air tools) or get a regular drill w/ at least 7500 rom w/ a carbide bit....and just drill it out....and if you hav the patience and the tools, id recommend oversizing the existing thread of the screws and grab a heli-coil and chase it w/ a tap and put the appropriate size screw w/ a grade of 5/grade 5 screw.....and you are set.....either way you can replace or just leave it alone w/o a screw since you are still torquing the caliper and the wheel down....
