How stupid is honda?
say i was to take a test drive in an 04 civic coupe and it happened to return to the dealership with 02 tail lights. you think they would notice before i left?

Rep Power: 511 alright me and hustle came up with an idea:
take out all the nuts that hold the taillight in and loosen all the lights in the harness. put some tape to hold them in a little bit. go there at night with like a suction cup and just pull those ****ers out

and how hell would you get the bumper off and back on that fast...
either way i say go for it.. just wear gloves and make sure you wipe off the other ones yer stickin in to replace them.. then just be like "i have no idea what yer talking about.. why would i steal from a car im thinking of buying"

i fought with mine for like 20 minutes before i said screw it and just yanked them out.. which in turn broke the lil pegs..

Rep Power: 305 and then the po po drives up. watches you take the lights off. arrests you. then charges you with petty theft, vandalism, tresspassing. life is pretty much screwed. all for a pair of tail lights that you don't even need.
that is the other part of the what if game. and if you say that it could never happen, it did happen to my friend. they watched him take them off. then when he went to his car, followed him, pulled him over, searched his car (since they had probable cause), arrested him, towed his car
he went to court, pleaded guilty to theft, time served at 2 days in jail, paid 400 to get his car back, could never go to the dealership area again, had a mis conviction, two years probation, 36 hours community service.

Rep Power: 305 Actually it is not that dealers are dumb, it is just that they don't watch the cars too carefully in some neighborhoods. But you won't see the hidden camera. You won't see the guard dog or security until it is too late.
If a dealer has enough crime, they will hire people to watch the cars. But really what you are saying is that is okay to steal. It is okay for me to come take items off of your car. Learn the lesson before you learn: if you do the crime, sometimes you do the time.

Rep Power: 305 And you are welcoming the cops in your area to pull over every fixed up Civic to check things out. Like why are there 04 taillights on your 02. Where did you get them. Where is your reciept. A cop can give you a ticket for recieving stolen merchandise. Then drive off. You have to prove where you got your lights.
You wonder why cops pull over fixed up cars that are driven by young males. This is just one reason.

Rep Power: 0 you are on CRACK if you think the 02 tail lights look good. First of all, the reverse light housing is PINK! wtf!! that's so stupid. Second, the tail lights illuminate square, and that's ok i guess, but MY prefrence is rounder tail lights like the 2003

No, I am not a cop. But I freely admit I learned my lessons the HARD way. It takes a long time to live down a record. It follows you for a long time. If I could get one person to just chill and take the right path, then at least one person would not have to learn the lessons the wrong way as well. Part of my paying back, I taught at an installation school in LA. I always told everyone that you can save money learning to do it yourself, but in doing so you learn an appreciation. An appreciation that you would not want someone to steal from you.

It would probably work, but wear somethin covering ur face, and ur license plate on whatever u show up in, they got cameras.. and what if the car is in the middle of the lot... some kidna sensor alarm should go off from u walkin in there.. or somethin..
