"I got a 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe, with an AEM Cold Air and a DC sports 4-1 header and for the extra thrill, a throttle body spacer. I thought i was rollin at first! Till my girlfriend in her stock 2002 civic lx kicked my butt!! It was horrible and i couldnt figure out what was goin on, i mean i got all this crap on the car...whats wrong? I took the throttle spacer off for now cuz it was more loud than fast. A lot of my friends say that I just need to finish it all off with a full cat back, so today I just ordered a magnaflow exhaust, with 2.25 inch piping which keeps or even gives tourque as well as horsepower and its also pretty mild sounding which is what i want. It claims to give 8-10 hp and 12-15 lb/ft of tourque but can i expect or feel a bigger increase now that i also have my headers and cold air? Will i be able to at least keep up w/ my girlfriend or even any other car? "

im pretty sure u got a d16 in ur car... and that engine is a little more responsive to boltons than our d17... so you shoulda had her :P unless she's a better driver than you

hmm... D16Y isnt all that great.... it makes pretty much nothing till the tach swings past 5 grand.

then it makes MAJOR VTEC! nah j/k

but seriously, my brother's D16Z (intake, exhaust, AEM cam gear, no carpets) raced my cousins auto 90 Corolla (intake, muffler) they were about the same until 5K came by.
I'm fairly sure I can win against my brothers car.
