Yeah, Iraq has really messed up my mind ? I guess I should take notes on the war, from people who never been there and dont know what the hell they are talking about . I guess by watching cnn you are now a master of foreighn policy . I know Cnn doesent report 1/10th of the actual situation on the ground and how most Iraqi people are appreciative of the US troops . If you are not combat arms you are not **** .

thank you! my stepfather is a vietnam vet and the way i see it is that if you were not there than you can't judge, now can you. wether it's wrong or right just support them. they can't help the fact they are following orders.

Obviously it is helping the majority of Iraqi people and they are happy, I don't think anyone disputes this. Its all about the reasoning to go to war, and all the issues associated with that decision. Maybe YOU aren't hearing about all the lies we have been told and B.S. going on politically back in the states. Just because you are in the war doesn't mean you understand jack $hit about why its taking place. Get real, the whole thing is bull$hit. Would you want to do this with every country that isn't an American democracy? The united states had to form a rebellion and fight for its freedom. Why should it be any different anywhere else? Shouldn't the Iraqi people have freed themselves, shouldn't China, N. Korea, Iran? No one is disupting that you are doing good things now that you are there. They are pissed off that you got sent their in the first place. I can only assume the miliatary has brain washed you into thinking you are doing whats best for the world. Many disagree, but it doesn't matter. Finish what you started, and get the hell out of there. Oh yeah, wasn't "Mission Accomplished" months ago? And for the dude who put the stickers on your car....did you really think this wasn't going to happen with this thread? I mean how long can people talk about your damn ribbons? Iraq was a damm haven for Anti - US forces , Ive seen it , Ive been there . What about the mass killing feilds ? Soldiers always obey orders , we have things such as Honor , Loyality and we beleive in our flag to the death . What do you care about Iraq, you have not choosen to serve your country , you will never see the horrors and the compassion of combat . You will sit back and sip on your beer with all the comforts of home with the freedom that me and my fellow soldiers, marines , airmen and sailors provide . And you know what that is fine with me, thats my job, but dont sit there and pretend that you know a damm thing about what is right and wrong because you are protected by a wall of comforts . I dont give me the Isearal spill because thats a ****ing resort compared to Iraq . HOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that is worse than murder is sombody that turns there back on there country and the troops in the field , I we commonly call them traitors

I am in Iraq right now! And I can't wait till 20yrs down the road ans they are teaching your childern that Sadam was just about as evil as Hitler. Granted the media said this was all about WOMD but they also said for the beggining that we were to liberate the Iraqi people. And the last time I checked we have started the third rotation of troops to Iraq, and you all wanna hear the funny part the missoin here is still called "Operation Iraqi Freedom" and has been since day one. I am not saying you need to agree with the war all, but pull your head outta your... and the last time I checked we have been fighting a war on terrorism since 9/11. So everyday when a car bomb goes off ask yourself if that was a terrorist or just the old lady down the street on her way to the gorcery store. I am not tryin to get mad or nothing but some people are blind. The rest of you rock. Keep up the support it is a good thing.

First of all, to the troops on here. You are ignorant for not respecting other peoples point of view. If people are being respectful when they explain their views then you shouldn't get all pissed off. Lets keep this civil. The previous Iraqi regime cannot be compared to **** Germany. Yes they were bad, but they did not kill MILLIOINS of people. Need I remind you that you come from a country that nearly killed off entire races of people in the 1800's. The American indians were abused, tricked, and systematically eliminated. There are many examples of this occuring in the world right now. This is the dark side of human nature. Why are you not in Sudan's Darfur region where nearly 100,000 people have died, and 1.2 million have been driven from their homes. This is just one example of the horrible things taking place in the world today. Yes bad things were happening in Iraq before the war, no one disputes this, but much of the rebel activity and car bombings you mention are a direct result of the presense of U.S. forces. Right and wrong has nothing to do with "a wall of comfort". I would not hesitate to defend my country should the need arise. Remember back to grade school when you had a bully in your class? how well do you think it would go over with the teacher if you punched the bully first because you said you knew he was going to punch you in the future. Not very well. Same goes for defense, do not fire until fired upon. There was no evidence Iraq was planning a attack against the U.S. There is absolutetly no link between 9/11 and Iraq. So why were you sent there? Why not Darfur? Why can't the president admit he made a mistake and they will do their best to clean it up. Why was "mission accomplished" months ago when you are just now starting to capture all of Fallujah? People just want answers. They don't appreciate being told lies. It was not the media that said this was about WMDs it was the president. Straight form his mouth, and he still can't admit they didn't exist. There is nothing wrong with admitting and error. Stop thinking so highly of yourselves. You are not fighting WWII. There are not MILLIONS of allied casualties. You are doing your service well, but you can't look at what your doing as monumental. Dont' get all pissed off, its not like I want you guys to die or anything. I sincerely hope you help those people out and get back in once piece. Just remember that not everyone sees it the same way as you. As much as you think what your doing is right, there is someone else who thinks the exact opposite with the same amount of passion. Yes... you're really supporting the troops... You really think they giev a damned if you have one or fifty-eleven magnets on your car? Be proactive. Go out and organize collection of goods to send them. Get your community to put together a care package to send to a platoon. Write them letters. Show them people at home care abou them too. That's supporting the troops. I love all these idiots that buy a $2 magnet, which none of the money goes to the troops or their families btw, or buying a big *** yellow ribbon, again no money to the troops, and claim they are supporting the troops. Do you really care, or are you just doing it because it's the in thing for the moment? If you're going to support them, really support them, and send them something that's going to help them, or make them feel better. I hate these damned ribbons.
