Nevertheless, I think the 7th gen is pretty hot. Love the color.

For good drivers that would be cool, but that much power with all the noobs out would be hell. lol.

Those 160 MPH records were set on on pump gas, no nitrous or turbo, just "all motor". Normally the car runs w/nitrous.

Of course, you are not correcting for the fact that it did 160 in the "real world", which using the appropriate conversion factor is roughly equal to 195 MPH on the internet.

160 MPH is what you get with a 1,939cc motor dynoed at 282 HP. People who say they went 160 on the freeway with their 175 HP Civic are just pulling your leg or just too dumb to know better.

The Worlds Fastest Civic set the G/BFALT record at 183.087 mph. That is a 2 way average across a flying mile. His highest exit speed while doing this was over 204 MPH. That was a supercharged 2.0L Civic run by the Progress group in 2001.

The records are 2 way AVERAGES across a flying mile. Top speeds are always higher than the averages and the record is for the averages.

But to answer the question, yes, I am trying to set a record (average) over 200 MPH and do it with a 1.5L turbo motor. I want to be the first Honda car in the Bonneville 200 MPH club.

nice ride. I'm just a little currious about some things.

Why B series power?

Why a 7th gen?

I love your car and I'm sure you have reasons thats why i'm asking

ahhh you compete in the 1.5 class and a K isnt even close to the right size, so you use a B. Still, why an EM2? is it a slick shape compared to older civics?

yes, when I decided to run in the under 1.5L class, I had 3 choices, D, B or K. The smallest K is a 2.0L so getting it it under 1.5 would require alot of work. The D sucks. The B16 only needed a 4mm smaller bore, and I was doing sleeves & pistons anyway so thats why. Also, B's are a very well proven, high HP motor and are a dime a dozen.

I used the 01 coupe because I like the body style. the others have already been done. If I were to do it again, I would do the insight, I love that body.
