if youre in the left lane and can get over in the right to let someone pass you, you better do it or im throwing something heavy at your car. plain and simple, done it before and ill continue doing it until i get caught. other than that, if youre tailgating me because youre an idiot, refer to my title
I'm the retard?? look at yourself bragging about hitting your brakes... That is not smart dip sh*t. f*ck it though go for it and use your 45 to protect your dumb @ss... I bet you'll be dead in a couple of years with an attitude like that... More power to you.

You guys seriously need to have more respect to other drivers. If someone's riding you, why press on the brakes so they slam into you? All I would do is press just enough so the lights come on and they pass. Alot of drivers carry guns and get road rage you know. Yeah people are crazy for the most part. I try and drive the speed limit in the far right lane in Chicago freeways, and still people want to go 20+mph over. Why is everyone in such a hurry all the time?
You know, I think alot of you don't realize how dangerous a hi speed crash is. Even at 1mph, you will feel a big jolt from another car tapping yours. The way some people drive, you would think they're out to kill themselves.

save yourself the brake wear
Purpose:
To eliminate pesky tailgaters by tricking them into thinking that you have engaged your brakes.
Tools Needed:
Wire Cutters
Pliers
Electrical Tape
Materials Needed:
Wire (I used 20 guage test wire)
Momentary Switch
LED (optional)
Crimp Connectors
Disconnect the Negative battery terminal. The wires are active even when the car is off.
Take off the lower side dash panel. This will make it a lot easier on yourself. There are three screws that come off, then you just have to pull the panel out to it off.
And its off
Follow the brake lever and you will see a little depression switch that it is resting on. It should be a black cylindrical thing with a white plug comming out the rear. Mine had two wires, but other people have said theirs has four.
Pull out the white plug. Cut away the black electrical tape surrounding the loom. Then peel away the loom to expose the wires.
Taken from Neo Noodle's post (clubsi.com):
There should be 4 wires attached to this connector. We only need two. the White one with a Green(?) stripe going down it..and the Green(?) one with a White stripe going down it.
As mentioned earlier, my car only had two wires running from the white plug. So making the choice of wires to tap was easy.
I tapped each of the brake wires with my test wire and used crimp connectors to put it all together again.
Put the wires back into the loom. Plug the white connector back in. Put back the lower dash panel.
At this point its up to you where you want to run the wires and the switch. I decided to stealth mod mine into the front of my armrest. I used one of those plugs in the armrest as a place to mount the led and switch. I simply had to drill holes into the plastic to mount the two things.
And the final product.
Reconnect the battery.
Enjoy.

i don't understand you people. the left lane is for passing only. why drive in it? if someone wants to drive faster than you, so be it! stay right except to pass. this is just common courtesy of the road. you are the ones causing the road rage. (the people who don't move over and hit their brakes when someone approaches) for the life of me, i can't figure it out...

These people arent driving in the left lane. damn people...read....
if you are speeding by 10 or more mph in the passing lane there is no need for you to go faster. speeding that much is bad enough. if someone wants to pass then they should either planned better or grow up. by 20 you should have enough self control to stop being all 'fast and furious'

You guys got it. The "unspoken rules of highway driving" are:
1. In the left lane, always be passing. If you aren't passing the people to the right of you, join them.
2. Don't pass on the right side, unless someone in the left lane is not following rule #1 and you gave them a chance to move over for you first (hi-beam flash).
3. Never, ever, ever drive RIGHT NEXT TO SOMEONE ELSE. That really bothers me. If you're going the same speed, join them in their lane. It's really no loss for either of you.
There are other things that just **** me off, like when you're behind someone in the left lane and they won't move over, so you go to move to the right to pass them and that's when they choose to move right also. So then you have to switch back to the left lane right away and you look like an impatient ****.

If I get a tailgater I don't hit the brakes. I just downshit to a lower gear and don't get off the clutch and just start coasting til I'm a good 10 miles slower. I have really bad roadrage when people tailgate. I know Mexican Judo! Judo don't know if I have a knife and judo know if I have a gun. Do not tailgate me unless i'm driving with my flashers on going 15 due to a flat. If you want to pass then when the road opens up pass me for all I care. I hit I-95 from florence to killeen tx where my parents life and the speed limit is 65 but I always have it on cruise going 80.

wow there are unspoken rules blah blah...what about the written rules? if you get caught speeding will you plead guilty? or will you give an excuse?
be safe for ALL by just slowing down a bit...people do not want other people to be the reason why their lives are cut short but be prepared to pay ALL the consequences for your actions

not enough to matter... parents are insurance agents and have a guy making so many claims from that its ridiculous. hes on the 5th bumper this year. insurance didnt go up too much as its never his fault.
but... he never brake checks, he brakes hard, fast, and as late as possible. when someone hits him its at stop signs and its not as bad looking on his part when they have to stop anyway.

Haha i didnt brag i said i have done that b4 and my friend did it not to long ago thats not braging....And i never said i was going to go shoot ppl up dumb **** I EVEN SAID I GET OUT OF THE WAY IF IM IN THE "FAST LANE"
Every morning I go down a 2 lane road that’s long and has lots of curves on the way to school, there’s always some hotshot that’s got to pass me even though I’m already doing 50 in the 45. Any faster and my car would slide off the road into the ditch on some of the corners. Anyway there’s only 1 spot you can pass for like 10 miles or so, and some dude flys up behind me and tails me for like 3 miles with his expedition, like 5 feet off my bumper, headlights up the wazzoo. So finally I just started slowing down, not breaking, just letting off the gas to **** the dude off. When on at the worst possible moment he passes me on a corner. I’m like what a dumb***. He’s gonna kill himself. He nearly runs me off the road trying to get back into my lane before the car coming around the corner hits him. He then speeds off only for me to catch him at the stoplight 4 miles later. Some people need to learn how to drive.

If your slowing everyone down in the fast lane, move the **** over especially if oyur the only one in the lane. However, if all the cars in front of you are going the same speed and someone starts to tail gate you, just take your foot off the gas pedal and slow down a small amount.. then go back to the speed everyone else is at. No need to brake check.

maybe you can install a smoke screen.
i saw an older 3 series on eBay a long time ago that was advertised as a James Bond BMW. the owner had a line going into the exhaust that fed antifreeze into it when a button on the dash was pushed. the coolant burned and became white smoke, blinded the retard behind you. i want to do this mod to my civic.

You aren't the police and its not your job to decide how fast other drivers should be driving.

It doesn't even matter if you are on a one lane road or a 5 lane highway you shouldn't be hitting your brakes like that. It isn't the smartest thing to do especially seeing that the people riding your @ss are already being stupid. You stoop to their level. and just because someone drives fast you can't assume they are young... Come down to Houston and drive on the beltway... I'd like to see how many people you find going the speed limit. You could easily be cruising with the traffic 20 mph over. I highly doubt all of these people are 20 years or younger...
