FreddySi is lucky to be alive *PICS* 56K be gone! Last Friday night we were headin up this very dark and windy mountain road. We've done it before a few times as it's a really nice run to the top and then down again.
On the way up I had to pull over suddenly because I realized that my oil was low and had shifted causing my ECU to throw a CEL and kill my VTEC. I was puttin in another quart of oil when Freddy stopped to see if I was alright. When I told him it was cool and I was gonna head back he headed off to the top to mee the others who had probably already gotten there by that time.
I guess on the way up he saw a deer and swerved to miss it, hit and run the guard rail and wound up on his side in a ditch on the other side of the road. As you'll see from the pics, another foot earlier before the railing and he woulda been in a lot more trouble.
Thankfully he came out with not even a scratch and because insurance is a bitch I think he's gonna put the ride back together out of pocket.
*FreddySi has been around here since Aug 2001 and this is his 2nd 7thgen coupe (as he wrote off his first) so show some love**

hes one lucky guy. 
Hes rebuilding the civic. man does it hurt to see those pics, his car was so sweet.
But the civic will come out of this better then it was, just give it some time.

Rep Power: 328 the airbags wont deploy if the bumpers dont get hit. looks like he rolled it and the bumpers got ripped off.
he's gotta rebuild that out of pocket? daaamn that sucks....looks like about 6-8k worth of damage...

I was wondering about the airbag as well, usually if you jump a guard rail and have that much of a direct impact w. the car your airbag ought to deply.
