Best way to get sponsored is to make yourself a portfolio of your car and the events you attend. List all parts and products you use and have on your car and be sure to take tons of pictures of the progress on the car. At big events such as NOPI for those who are into racing, or Hot Import Nights, SEMA for those who show, have your portfolio displayed if possible and available.

You car needs to stand out from the crowd as well so do things to help make it stick out from other cars EX. Lambo doors, Tricked out trunk, bright colors, exciting displays, etc...

A big tip i can give is go into talks willing to pay something for a product. Dont expect to get everything for free. Not many companies will give full sponsorships so 75% of the time you will be paying for the item (at cost most likely).

Also keep good relationship and contact with your sponsor. Constantly update them on events your going to or updates on modifications to you car. They appreciate this and down the rode might offer a full sponsorship.

Finally expect to be their bitch at times. Most comapnies will want to use your car for shows, events, etc.. thus leaving you without a car. Others will offer a rental.

Just wanted to share experiences I have encountered and answer questions others might have about being sponsored. This is the best way to get sponsored. I would not recommend you going though a site to get sponsored. Just my opinion.

This kind of sporsor ship is basically You buying a discount card, and them plastering your car with stickers....

I.E. you give them $$$ and then they give you some stickers and a few discounts on there produts... its like buying one of those cupon books that no one uses...

I will try to put some of my input in here also. I have been sponsored by racerxmotorsports. Now they were a joke. You would have to pay 75 bucks and that would basically set up an account or something. I only bought one thing from then and that was my hood and it looks like trash. Then ever called to check up on anything it was impossible to call them. They were a waste.

But first the big thing. You will never get a sponsorship with a company if your car is completely stock you need to have some work done to it to make it show worthy then you will have a good chance of getting a sponsorship. But dont expect not to spend money and get a sponsorship it aint that easy.

A biggy is when you go to car shows start making your car show ready and start going to car shows. Local, National, Big, Small. anything. The more shows you go to the more local and big companies will see your car and some progress from different shows. While your at the shows talk to some people at the company stands. that is a good way to start off.

Now I was sponsored by a few other companies that i didnt have to pay for. The easiest way to get sponsored is jsut start talking with a compnay or a shop and get to know some of the people jsut by talking with them. Kinda become their friends or try. It will make it alot easier to ask them for sponsorships and stuff.

With shops if you normally go to them for eveyrhting you buy they will normally start to hook you up with stuff and then that is an easier way with them to ask for sponsorships.

But like what Hshadow said def make a portfolio of you car and the progress and jsut show the changes your car has gone thru. and what you plan on doing in the future. but Hshadow is right on alot of things. Just get to know people in the company first and tell them what you have to offer. Companies love people that are loyal and will promote the hell out of them and arent jsut looking for a cheap deal.

Like right now I dropped all my sponsors becuase I didnt want to show for awhile but now that I'm getting back into it I'm trying to work something out with Dezod since he hooked me up Now it is my turn to return the favor and promote him. So I'm looking into maybe getting sponsored by him next year to promote his site. That is really how you have to do it.

I wish you all the best of luck I would suggest try talking to a few of the companies on here also and ask them what they look for when they sponsor cars. Get some ideas from actual companies. You never know you might get luck and pick up a sponsorship from one of these guys on here.

That is all I really have alot of guys have been sponsored on the site hopefully more will reply to help you and other that want to know out. If anyone has anymore questions about sponsorship please feel free to PM me I will help out as best as I can. I know most of the guys on here will do the same for yall also.

I saw this ad and was gonna sign up for it. It looked good since it said you don't even need a modded car to get sponsored. But as I was filling it out, I noticed they asked for a CC number, it was an unsecure page, and they wanted a $89 registration fee. Sounds like a scam, noone will get sponsored through them.

i went through with this carsponorships.com and so far i got a sponsorship from decalkits.com and a "quasi-sponsorship" from blaupunkt. with decalkits.com i get free vinyl decals. the only real thing i care about is the carbon fiber vinyl though =p as for blaupunkt its just discounted parts. Also, carsponsorships.com says that they work with companies to sponsor your car. So basically what you pay for is someone to find and get sponsorship offers for you. For that, i was offered media coverage from max-it-out magazine, but i didn't apply for that sponsorship. this is better than that gimmick sportcompactpro because they don't do ****. but you have to pay that 80 bucks in the beginning so yea..

i dont care who you are or what you say. I'll tell ya this, people think you get a sponsor so you don't have to spend money on stuff. Well you better have money in your pocket already! Because no matter how many sponsors you have you're still taking your time and your energy to go to these shows and advertise for their product. You just have to assume there are 1000 other cars that could be sponsored but what is gonna make them want YOU. YOU need to have yourself an esstablished sort of 'identity' among the showslike acekicker is saying. Make yourself known, it doesen't matter if it's small time or big. Have some *****, get some product, win some shows, and start making those companies take notice. Make them want ya. Look at it in this perspective, and do acekicker and everyone else says get a portfolio. Just like any worthwhile job or title you need an impressive representation of who you are, and what you do. Not just about cars, but you need to let it be known that you are financially stable and able to meet the demands alot of these companies have when it comes to sponsoring and hooking up free product. Maybe even going so far as to mention a job title with future employment plans. it reflects highly upon you. Because in reality its not free product your getting there's always some exchange of service. And in this case it's advertisement.

I have this exact same sponsorship the website seems to be legit but not worth it really and they do not even reply to emails very much. But if you got 89 bucks to blow go for it. Do not expect much though because like everyone says you pretty much end up buying all of your parts any way and it isnt worth your time. Besides who cares if you get a partial sponsor from blaupunkt anyway you still have to pay what you would on ebay for the stuff and their stuff isnt even that great. I do get free stickers though from decalkits.com since everyone ewants stickers...lol. I just was not impressed with what I got I am interested to see if someone got anything good from them though.
