Just wondering if it was illegal in Cali to black out your heads the way u black out the tails with the tint spray also whether or not it would look good.

you mean spray paint the chrome housing so its black or adding a layer of tint over the headlamp itself (without going inside the headlight)?

in cali, law states you must have an amber, reflector, signal, and headlight bulb itself.

I did search im just obviously not good at it... so in the future y dont u help the person out and give them the thread. Yea i mean just spraying over the outer casing and i already have green turn signals anyway so forget the amber... the thing im worried about is if its gonna dim my headlights? and if so will i get rolled for it a bunch.

Tinting headlights = Illegal

Spraypainting the inside chrome = Legal... But, most cops can point out and say the lights are "dimmer" and **** you off.

Now why would you do such a thing? Of course it's gonna dim your headlights. Put a piece of cloth over your face - can you see now? Bet you cant.

if your gonna black/tint out the tails, make sure your rear reflector still lights up from a far distance. how dark do you plan to tint anyways?

I wouldn't suggest tinting out your heads unless you tint it a color, like blue or red or something.. don't tint it black..

Tinting your tails is cool, alot of members have tinted their tails and actually have a decent outcome. Just your preference and what you think looks good..

What I do if i'm not sure is go through the member's rides section and just scroll through pics.. you can get alot of ideas, because people have done what you want to do, so it's a good way to find out if spending the money is really worth it.
