Why oh why?
yea...i'd rather invest the 9K into my retirement fund or put it aside for when I buy a house.
I'm of the persuasion that it's rather embarassing for anyone to brag about spending that kind of money to personalise a car. I mean, why would you dump $$ into a heavily depreciating asset?

Really it's just fun to customize a car to your liking piece by piece making a car better than the facatory made it. I customize my car but I never sat down and added it all up it , but its not really about the money. It just a part of you. Though whatever car I have if I like the car Im going to fix it up.

And while it is more expensive to mod wrx´s and 350´s modding cars is always expensive, so why not go for a car that responds better and is a better base to mod from?
There! Over there!
I'm not sure I would go that far, xxnoshelterxx. It's true that you usually have to move it for less than you know it's worth, but I have a friend who bought a GSX with all sorts of aftermarket add-ons; turbo, short-shifter, etc., and got a good deal on it because the guy got married and had to sell it because his wife said he spent too much time with the car and not enough with her.
I think we should start a thread for those stories. How many people on 7thgencivic.com are living vicariously through everyone else's cars because they got a ball'n'chain?
