Tundra or Titan?
So far, it seems everyone says Titan, me included...
My mom and step-dad have been lookin into getting a truck to have and I will be the one mainly driving it (till Im outta college). Originally my step-dad said the Titan was a better deal, etc. More power, etc. I agree- I think the Titan is a very mean truck...
Well after checking both out and driving both, looks like they are leaning towards the Tundra instead. I dont know why... I guess Toyota's are better cars in the long run, but something about a Toyota just seems boring to me, dont get me wrong, I think Tundra's are bad-***, I just like the Titan more.
What do yall think, Tundra or Titan? (Looking at 2 door extended cabs if that makes a difference to yall)

Yeah, Tundra used to be my favorite truck, and I honestly think the Titan is kind of funny looking, BUT the engine and interior totally make up for it.
Im trying to think how to convince my mom to go for the Titan... I believe the Tundra is more expensive as well...

Titan suck! they have stream bad build quality. I can't believe that people will consider that think.
Wait I forgot this is a world where there is no other companies than imports. Sorry guys I forgot that we shall worship any piece of **** that Japan throws at us.

Oh man. Go with a Tundra. TRD was suppose to have a supercharger for it. At least that's what they told my uncle when he had one a couple years ago. Yes, the Titan may be roomier on the inside and what not, but if you're looking for interior room then maybe an SUV might suit the need a lil better. Have you compared the bed length of the two. I believe that Tundra has that edge there. The Titan bed is a little too short for a pickup.
[QUOTE] If you want to supercharge your vehicle, don't buy a full-size truck.
My dad owns a construction company and buys a couple of trucks a year. He always buys GMC (gets a good deal at the dealership). The dealership he went through sold out so he looked around for other trucks. He still likes the GM trucks, but my uncle (who owns the business with my dad) bought a F150- I have to say the new F150's are probably the best truck out there.
The only other trucks that compare are Dodge (ram is a POS) and now the Titan - the Titan is a very nice truck, but is unproven for performance. As far as commercial grade trucks go I'd stick with GM or Ford. If the truck is not going to be doing any towing or hauling I'd try the Titan. The Tundra really isn't in the same league as the rest. I'd compare it with the Dakota.

[QUOTE=jloos] I'm not saying to do it. IF he wanted to TRD does have one available. I'm not saying that I would do it. It'd be cool though to see a supercharged truck like that. Anyway, I have to agree with you that Ford probably has the best commercial truck out there right now. Me, my dad, and uncle were checking that out at the New England Auto show last year and it really seems like a well built truck.

I don't know which one I'd choose, because I'm not really a truck kinda guy. You can't go wrong with a Toyota, but the Titan has been proven to be more capable than even the new Ford F-150, it has a great engine (4.5L V8 if I'm not mistaken), loads of torque, you really can't go wrong with either one though.

Hahah...interesting opinions...Seems like the Titan is a love or hate thing, at first I didnt like it but now I do...
Everyone is saying the Tundra isnt really a full-size truck, which I dont understand...Its definately bigger than a more compact truck (ala s-10 or tacoma or whatever) and has over 7,000 lbs or towing capacity...
I mean, Im not going to be using the truck for construction or anything but it will be hauling and possibly towing some motorcycles at times. Its mostly just going to be somethign to get around in cause the civic doesn do that so well where Im living...
Toyota seems to be longer lasting, and Toyota trucks are damn tough actually. I dunno, I still like the Titan though...

Yeah, the Titan has a 5.6l v-8 with 305hp and 379lbs of torque, 9,000lbs of towing capacity
The Tundra has a 4.7l v-8 with 282hp and 325lbs of torque, 7100lbs or towing capacity.
I think the Tundra definately has good stats too though...

I had a 1999 Ram 2500... everything that could go wrong did go wrong... all in 45,000 miles.
My Ford F350 on the other hand is a 2001 with 105,000 miles and only reular maintenance has been done. No repairs needed.
I know a guy with a 2004.5 Ram 3500 and while he loves the truck, it has been in the shop quite a few times already.
I still say get the Titan for a full size 1/2 ton truck. It is quicker and faster than a Hemi Ram and i'd put money on it being more reliable.
