listen SRT-4 you have a valid point it's just hard to argue on a Civic forum. Yes the SRT-4s are moire powerful and I'm envious of that but it's not all that makes a car. I didn't buy a SRT-4 just cause it has a neon body. You like power and that's fine, but what other people say about that car is true too. No winner here don't get mad just know that bragging about the SRT-4 here on this forum will cause a lot of beef.

How about you go buy a Civic VP Coupe for about 13,500.
Now with the extra 7-8000 you build the car.
Build the motor, to handle about 15-18 PSI, which'll cost about 3000-4000.
Then turbocharge it and run 15-18 PSI and watch it rape on SRT-4's all day long.
Whoopty-doo, you know a Neon who has an engine swap, BTW that's not a sleeper, 18 inch wheels don't make a car a sleeper.

I know this guy from Clark, NJ that runs around with a Dodge Omni. Stock seats, stock wheels, stock exterior, with a Dodge Daytona swap, built motor, boosted with a front mount hiding behind the grill.

Rep Power: 0 I'll tell you two sleepers I know one was gotboost??? from this site when he had his mazda it was a crappy looking all wheel drive 1.6t that around the time it died it had 300 some horsepower. It also had no external mods except rims that were kind of plan. 
Another is my friend Jason with a supra, yeah i know a supra is far from a sleeper but all he has on the outside is exhaust, gunsmoke rims, veilside bodykit, all painted black. Its what is inside that makes him a sleeper. He has a T88, forged internals, Huge front mount, Full catback exhaust, 200 shot of nx nitrous, fully upgraded fuel system, unorthodox pulley set, injen intake, veilside intake mantifold,and a forged driveshaft. The last time he went to the dyno in houston he made 1067hp. The crazy thing is that he dosen't look like he did alot to his car until you see under the hood.

1) A neon does NOT run a 13.3 stock. I visit srtforums.com on a daily basis and even people that claimed to be runnign 13.5 stock got the BS flag from the entire forum. Some run 13.7 stock some run 14.2 stock. So a realistic average would be around a 13.9
2) Anyone that talks **** about the SRT-4 is an ***. It is an amazing car and those guys were fortunate enough to have Dodge actually take notice to car enthusists. Dodge did theyre best to give these guys a mean street machine. While we are still begging Honda to bring the RSX Type-R to the states. But they never will, they have they're heads so far up theyre asses they wouldn't dare release a car that gets under 821897 mpg and wouldn't appeal to all people of all ages.
3) The "Well if I bought a VP id have 7k to spend on mods" is also a stupid argument. I could go buy a Kia and have like 12k left over for mods and run 11's so the argument is void. Theres always someone that could build a car thats faster and cheaper than yours.
4) Lets grow up guys and get off DodgeNeonSRT4's back, like I said I visit srtforums daily and the maturity level over there is laughable. Why? Because they sterotype EVERYONE!, In an argument that had to do with Evolutions someone looked in my profile, saw I owned a civic and tried to make fun of me for that. They jump the gun and assume everyone is against them. We are better than that here, DodgeNeon simply posted about a badass sounding sleeper Neon and everyone gets on his case about it. Just cause he owns an SRT-4 doesn't mean he's an ***, althought I have to admit a suprising number of SRT4 owners are morons.
