the word on the new civic is that it will be much more "swoopy". that comes from one of the project heads at the torance design center. but bear in mind that the element was one of his personal projects.

I wish they would get rid of the cheap looking grey plastic on the outside of the car..

Another thing i HATE about the car is the clutch........ITS PLACED AT A HORRIBLE ANGLE

OH GAWD I HATE IT....but perhaps its cause im so used to my civic....and driving rsx's

Its so strange they way they placed it...reminds me of a truck?

Ummm... I don't know about that, because we have them here in Canada right now, I see a few of the new style Focus on the road everyday... and someone even owns a new 2005 Focus up the street from me

Also, the new style Focus has been in Europe since 2004.

[rant]why in the frick do car makers just make gimper and gimper looking pieces of shiet, i mean they dont have regulations on the style of the car, they could at least make the damn thing look fast or make some kind of statement, without making it look like something some lil old lady would be driving when they know 70% of them are going to be bought by families who want something safe; I mean damn your going down the road at 80+ miles an hour with a large piece of metal causing explosions 2 feet in front of you propelling you even faster,with only a strap made of fabric and metal thatll probably crompule at those speeds, in which a slight mis-calculation can send you hurrling to your doom or at least some kind of life-long injury; and lets face it, even if that isnt your average driver there are enough of that type that could simply cause havok on the rest of the worlds driving population that your enevitably going to either be a vicitim yourself or know someone close to you that is a vicitim [/rant]

Bottom Line: It may not go fast,and is meant to be safe(or as safe as we can guarantee with any degree of exceptable margain of error
(Enginner talk) ), but damn you could at least give it some style.

I like the 2 door is personally. I hope it gets the 160hp mazda 6 engine in it when it goes on sale in North America in 2006.

Why is everyone so mystified about this vehicle? It's already on sale here in Canada, surely we haven't gotten it before the US. The 3 or so local Ford dealers have a ton of the newly restyled 2005 Focus line.
Check out Ford.ca, they have them.
*edit: I just checked Ford.com, and they have the new design as well, as an 05... so I don't know what everyone is talking about...
