Modifications and Warranties
i was just wondering... what do modifications such as intake, exhaust, etc (performance modifications) do to the honda warranty? my mother (yes, my mother) made sure that i got the 7yr warranty on my new civic and she's completely convinced that if i do any modifications on my car that they'll make it completely void

Rep Power: 312 You can do anything to your car that you want. They cant do anything about it. The only way they can void your warntty is if, they can prove that the certain part on your car is what caused what ever broke to break,they have to do a test and prove it. Theres a link somewhere on here thats got the law about this i have used it cuz they tryed to screw me over on my tranny and i won!!! (first it was my intake then it was my wheels being to heavy then they saw my car at the track then i printed out the law and they fixed my car for free.
