Rep Power: 0 7th gen civic antenna reception sucks
has anyone else noticed that our antennas dont get very good reception? I mean- its real nice to have an antenna built into our windows, but if its gonna sacrifice reception, i dunno! theres a station in springfield mass, that all of my friends can get fine in their cars, and i cant get it at all. i know its not my ead unit, ive used it in my old car, and it actually bossted my reception.

Rep Power: 0 Maby you could just add an aftermarket hidden antenna. I drive to foxwoods once in a while and I can get 94.1 whjy all the way, which is located in providence RI..............what station are you talking about anyway??????? Maby it's just the radio station and not your car......

Rep Power: 788 It's not that clear, but you should be getting stations. If not, you didn't hook up the power antenna wire to the deck (if you have aftermarket). I don't care since I listen to CDs all the time.

Rep Power: 282 Have any of you hooked up the antenna power wire (if you replaced the headunit)? The window antenna is an amplified unit, the yellow/green wire must be hooked up to the power antenna wire on the head unit for it to work, and all the harness adapters do not have the wire built into them.
Past that, the best aftermarket antenna is the Fuba antenna like on the 16V VW's. Those antennas are awesome, just get the real Fuba antenna and not a cheap version.

Rep Power: 0 I get pretty good reception but my friend lives out in no where land and gets poor signal. One solution that help is that he got a external mount antenna that mounts on top of his car. Something like what they have VW's. And now he gets crazy signal in his area. But I recommand XM, thats the way to go.

Rep Power: 336 The antenna can be a pain sometimes.
Heat spots on the window and areas with a lot of electrical interferance can effect reception.

Rep Power: 344 My reception is OK. Not fantastic, but at least as good as my old Sunfire (which sucked). Meh, I listen to CD's most of the time anyway.

Rep Power: 287 I actually think they're really good. My antenna gets way better reception than my gf's Jetta or my old grand am. Plus it's way better than any of my stereos at home.

I have crappy reception in my civic as well. I have heard of several people haveing this problem. I have checked, rechecked and even had people look at the radio set up and there doesn't seem to be any problem there. I have even changed out the head units but that was a waste because it made no diff. if anyone can help me please do.
