i just picked up a catalog at the dealership for the 05 civic sedan, since i'm thinking about getting one. anyhow there are no visible exterior changes from the 04 and the interior looks the same too, the guy at the dealership said he thinks they only added new colors so here's the color list.
exterior color / interior color
taffeta white / ivory
satin silver metallic / gray
tango red pearl / ivory
*fiji blue pearl* / ?
nighthawk black pearl / gray
shoreline mist metallic / ivory
eternal blue pearl / gray
magneium metallic / gray
*opal silver blue metallic* / ?
*rallye red* / ?
the stars are the new colors, it also says their limited edition colors, and doesn't give the interior color..

I know you guys are hoping and wishing, but what if they actually do happen? You're all gonna trade in the civics that you spend tons of money and time modding? And all for 30whp difference? It's hardly worth it. The 140whp that the Si has is still not that impressive.
^^ there are many many more than 3. gx, hx, si ... and in the past, there have been cx, vx and maybe more if I am forgetting. lower model is non-si or non type r if you wanna get technical
It appears that the 06 Civics will have a K20 in some models. It will also be larger. The new Fit will be the econobox of the Hondas and will have a 1.5 liter engine. There may also be a two door derivative of the Fit and it will be called the CRX. It will likely come as a hybrid 1.5, 1.5 and K20 or HF DX and Si
The stage is set for the Civic Si to have a Type R model later in the 05 model year. Since the RSX has more HP this year a Type S powered version of the Civic should not have as much affect on RSX sales.
This is my opinion by the way, not necessarily all fact.
BTW, it appears you can bolt a K20 directly into the Hybrid Civic by just changing the sub frame. The electronics may prove to be a little more difficult.

Hey 140 hp wouldn't be a bad platform seeing as how we are gonna get a DOHC engine finally. It would only make sense that the new vics would get a K serise engine. they lost alot of sales in japan and as far as plant work goes, the 7th gens are the only d serise production motor. so they are wasting money having another production line to make parts for the nly odball engine. if it was a k serise it would save production money and increase sales, as long as the price increase isn't insane!

i really wouldnt care if the engine k20 had 140hp for the 06 civic. the k engines have way more patencal in making hp power than the d engines. so having a k engine instead of a d engine is the best way to go no matter how much power honda is planing on putting in the new 06 k powered civics.
I just burnt my tongue
