angle of your leg when driving

ok so i just got knee surgery this last thursday the 12th
it was a acl reconstruction where they put in a new ligament with 4 screws in my knee.
well now im home and my doctor delivered this machine to my house to help me rehab my knee.
it basically forces my knee to bend. and it can be set to different angles.
so far i can bend my knee to around 145 degrees.
im supposed to decrease the angle by 5 everyday until it bends to the fullest.
i have to spend at least 3 hours a day on it.

anyways thats the reason i wanted to ask this question.
how much would i need to be able to bend before i can drive?
i have the strength in the leg becuase i can walk. my doctor told me to walk on it as long as i felt comfortable.
im guessing its mostly a matter of opinion and personal comfort but i want to get a ballpark figure of when i can drive my civic again.

hahaha im do depressed cuz of my current condition. cant go anywhere cuz i cant drive.

I had a similar situation.

Broke my index medial carpal (sp) on my right hand. Basically the index bone on the outer side of you hand. Sucked ***... two surgeries in the span of a year.

I wouldn't know too much and the exact angle... possibly around 100-110 degrees?
I mean also, clutching wont be fun. I know it'll hurt just to push it in a bit.

Sorry to hear about your surgery though. Hope you get better. You can PM or IM me if you'd like.

he said theres nothing that i can do that will hurt it
as long as im comfortable then i can do it
basically im just waiting for my ligament to lighten up.

faultyscrew is an unknown quantity at this point
I sprained my ankle a couple of months back and couldn't drive for a while. It was a depressing time. It was also my right leg - I have an auto as well and was wishing I was injured on the left as I have no clutch to push in. Anyway - I would wait till you have rapid movement in knee or least till it moves without much effort. It's not good to drive with a stiff knee just in case you have to do some type of emergency braking or manueveurs. I hope you heal soon so you can get driving again!
