Rep Power: 0 Flashing brake lights
Every now and then I see cars on the road that have their high mounted brake light flash for the first 3 seconds or so after applying the brakes. Did some cars come with that feature or did they installed a special light kit?

Rep Power: 0 my friend has that thing. its some sort of stupid rear brake light hyper blinker thing. he got his from thailand. looks like a little cheap piece of crap to me. haha, he hasnt put it in yet, but what u described sounds like what ur talking about. it just makes ur brake lights blink a few times when u push on ur brakes before they go solid.
either that, or they're pressing up n down on the brakes themselves, haha.

Rep Power: 310 never heard of this one before
but i guess drivers get confused with the parking lights and brake lights..
reminds me of that blonde woman swerving on the road because she thought she was dodging trees. turns out it was her air freshner "tree" on her rear view mirror

Might not be a bad idea, once you think about it.

true. but attracting more attention isnt always a good thing. it can count as an "distraction" too. think about it... police have flashers/strobes whenever they pull people over, in pursuit, etc etc. eventually some idiot is gonna act "non-normal" when he or she sees it. theirs just stupid people like that.

Rep Power: 0 I have that on my 04. It's a safety feature that prevents morons from ending up in your backseat. The reason they're using it now is because it's been proven to reduce the amount of rear-end collisions. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually became standard equipment on cars, much like daytime running lights.

Rep Power: 271 A whole bunch of cars have that either as an option or standard. A good majority of Chryslers have that. It does draw your attention - which is somewhat of a good thing. At least you shouldn't end up rear-ending the person
