Be careful when driving in the rain!
I just wanted to let everyone know that it is really important to give yourself so extra space when driving in the rain. On February 22, 2004 I almost lost my brother on th 60 freeway here in Southern California because a car hit the center divider, right in front of my brother, causing him to hit the back of that car. He than began to spin and a full sized Dodge truck hit him on the driver side. My brother spent 4 months in a coma state and is now starting the slow process of recover. He lost the ability to function fully on his left side, however is slowly gaining it back. Everyone else walked out of the accident without minor scrapes and bruises. Why must the bad stuff always happen to the ones you love? I am thankful that he is still here.
Please Be Careful When Driving In The Rain Because You Never Know What Might Happen!!!
R.I.P. Samuri, never got a chance to get to know you, but you are still a fallen brother. We'll meet one day.

i am dead scared when driving in the rain, i drive like a old grandma, part of it is because i once had my car hyperplan (SP) when it was raining. Fortunately i didnt hit anything but i could have, thank GOD. Now i just drive really careful and never slam on the throttle even though i have good quality tires that perform in the rain. Nothing is wasting your life over. Hope your brother feels better man.

sorry to here about your brother.
The rain is a very dangerous thing to be fooling around in. Tires help, but it can only go so far.
arcalan, it's hydroplain....
when you see those deep puddles, beware and be prepared

i hate it when people challenge me to a damn race and the ground's wet. i mean come on, thats how people die easily. if the ground is at all wet, i'm goin below the speed limit, espically on the freeway
I just burnt my tongue

i remember that day...one of the FEW rainy days we've been getting here in so cal...i passed that accident on the 60 like 2 mins after it happened before the traffic jam...i was like OMG WTF!?!?! damn sorry to see that ur bro was hurt badly my condolences...that day i went to northridge from rancho cucamonga on the 210 and some taxi spun out and hit the center divider...other than that it was smooth sailing except the time we were hydroplaning across the 210 when we hit 95 on the freeway at 3am...no one was on the freeway and we stayed inlane without sliding sideways so we got lucky...but some ppl arent and since than we havent done it again...other than the fact that there has been no rain since
goddam, why does he receive the most damage when its not his fault..
i hope your brother feels much better and recovers fully. sorry to hear bro.
i always drive in the slow lanes when rain occurs. i hope you others too and dont end up in a collision, i dont want to hear more and more stories how people are risking their lives because of some jerk wants to go fast.

Rain sucks man, sorry about your brother.
I used to own a modded S13 and that thing was the worst in rain. I had the car sideways a couple times but luckly when I say modded it was all suspension so I was able to keep control.

damn that sucks. After seeing that, I am going to start driving slower in the rain. And maybe someone will explain this to cops too, because they think they are invisable when it is raining, they still drive 100 MPH.

I've heard its the worst when it just starts, or maybe its that people dont pay enough attention and dont adjust their driving right away, maybe its peoples slow reactions, not sure..
i hate rain. I got into an accident once during raining time. It is just a minor accident (about 1500 worth of damage). From that on when it is raining I will either drive my sister Camry or drive like an OLDDDD man. REALLLLLLY SLOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

if people were LESS afraid of driving in the rain and actually made an effort to learn HOW to drive in the rain, the roads would be a 1000 times safer.
i feel sorry for your brother and wish him a speedy recovery, but its just rain.

Thanks Everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. After 8 months and a day my brother is getting better. He still cannot walk but he can talk now, therapy is going well and the settlement is coming soon for him. Let's just say he will sit nicely for a little while. He hopes to be driving again withing the next 5 years. Thanks Again Everyone. Still keep us in your prayers.
i hope your brother comes back soon, and with a vengeance! and your right, bad things do happen to people you love, even when they dont deserve it.
Btw driving in the rain doesnt scare me, i drive normally like i always do from school n back.

I'm speechless ... I'm glad your brother is still around, I hope he makes a 100% recovery.
