*DROPS JAW* watch this!!!!
Big deal...I dont get the fascination with supras. You can take a domestic and spend about half as much and get a faster car....and whats so impressive about the dyno? Any RWD car with power will do that....

Supra's are 3.0L V6 Turbos making that kind of power. That's the fascination. Even better, there are ones with MORE POWER on the STOCK BOTTOM ENDS! I dont see too many 800+rwhp domestics driving around on stock bottom ends do you? No, you dont.
Where are you getting your financial information. Supra vs. LS1. Throw full exhaust, intake. Supra has over 400HP, LS1 do not. So where are you getting these figures SPENDING half and getting a faster car? If you can prove me wrong, by all means, please do. And dont show me a car stock with a 150 shot on slicks running 11s, cause thats cheesey
If you say well Supra has forced induction thats why it has advantage. OK, put a blower on a Z06. It still cant make as much power as the sinlge turbo'd supras on stock cams. Cang Ly's Supra out of Cali, 740WHP on STOCK HEAD CAMS BLOCK.
Also, youre statement "ANY RWD car with that power will do that".... um yeah say that over.....that makes NO SENSE. The significance of that video was the CAR, being a Toyota Supra, putting down 874 to the wheels. Nothing was said about it putting down the power because it had rear wheel drive... it was just something you dont see everyday.
Also, I am not one to compare domestics to Supras but its better not to. Supras can make MORE power on a bottom end on a SMALLER motor. Im sorry, domestics lose when compared to supras whether its power, handling, braking. Hey, Im sorry.
Oh yeah, Toyotas are much more reliable than domestics! Forgot to add that in!
As for the joke of 400, 600, 800 HP supras have in common. Yeah maybe on stock tires, go check out WOTM or Titan motorsports. They run 8s on drag radials STREET LEGAL.

My friend has a 2000 Z28 SS SLP, cost him 20 grand, it runs a 13.6 stock I believe, 350 ft lbs and 345 HP. Change out the headers and exhaust and it will be damn close to 400 HP. Headers on a camaro CAN give you 25-30 WHP. dyno numbers dont really matter for speed though, it's all about the dynamics of the car. Most domestic cars running an 11 sec 1/4 dont have 800+ HP. How much do these Supras cost? Most of the ones that I have seen posted on other boards with those HP numbers arent running pump gas and are pushing a $70,000 price tag.

Liggenfelter makes a super charger package for the vette, installed around $18,000 that adds 550 HP/torque to the wheels. That makes for about 1,000 ponies and torque. Granted, its got new cams and a head I believe, but the total cost of the car and kit still comes up short of what those really built supras cost. In the end though, its not HP that matters, its the end result, being the 1/4 times.

I was referring to the car sliding sideways on the dyno. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Corvette is one of the best handling production cars around, and i'll say it again, dyno numbers dont really matter to me, it's the speed in the end, and how much money you've spent to get there.

Something tells me when you put that many mods into one, they arent as realiable as their stock counterparts. No cars built for that kind of power are too reliable as daily drivers.

Heck... i hate Toyota and most imports in general, but i'd love to own a Supra. Just can't stand the Supra fanboys.
