Also, its a stretch to say they sound "good"
if i knew sri's didnt do much for our d17's, i wouldn't have bought it. i was informed of this such informative website AFTER i bought my car and my aem sri.
but if i could go back, i would drop the sri and keep my $110. invest into headers. as for sound, it sounds nice, but not worth 1 bill. =\

No, I switched with CAI.
Sri only works well on top end.
Sucks for daily drive, heat soak.
CAI performs very well with Hondata Reflash.
If anybody wants to buy intakes, Just look for used one for Cheap.

I thought of buying one but I don't have $100+ to plunk down on an "enhanced" or "better" good revving sound. I'm investing in a new audio system so it really will sound better. I don't really see the point of any engine mod if 90% of the people I talk to tell me they don't add gains. If I got an intake for free somewhere then I guess I would put it on but that's it. I wouldn't pay for an engine mod that won't do much of anything for my car. Some people really love the sound of it - I could car less
