Rep Power: 0 i wouldn't expect much out of the S2000 as far as 1/4 mile speed, but i think it looks better, and the performance isn't THAT different from the 350Z, but i think it'd be a lot easier to make power on the 350Z with the greddy twin turbo kit, which will give a gain of 90 hp... for the S2000 there is the comptech supercharger that will add 100 hp, so i guess it's really personal preference

I know I saw a Greddy kit on a Z at the Initial D show in houston. 590 RWHP on the stock head, just had bigger injectors, clutch, rods and pistons.
The weakest FI application for that car is the Stillen supercharger I think and it still gives about 120+ WHP.

My has a 350z roadster - it's his mid-life crisis vehicle! He loved the performance of the Z and still wanted a convertible. I've driven as well - handles like a dream - power on demand! I learned how to drive stick on it too! As far as which car to get - I've never driven the S2000 but I hear it's a very fun car to drive. I like the styling of both, however I do like the interior on the Z a bit more - seats are nice and comfy too! The Z feels a bit heavy at times but stills feels nimble - it's a very solid feeling car and you really feel the torque during hard accel - I would take a long test drive in both and decide on that basis. Good luck - either car would be a great choice!

Rep Power: 357 Acording to the SCCA, a stock S2000 will beat a Stock 350Z on a road cours or autocross all day long... Given equal drivers...

Rep Power: 357 Thats the thing, I dont care that you can slap a tubo on a 350Z and get 300+ hp.... the car is too over weight. (Thanks to it sharing the G35 chassis) and For what I do, weight means more then HP.
S2000 = 2809 LBS @240HP = 11.7 Hp per lbs
350Z = 3188 @ 274 HP.... = 11.6 HP per LBS
so as far as acceleration goes they should be about equal, but being that the S2000 is a good 379 LBS lighter.... the S2000 has a distinct advantage in the corners....
Never compair a moded car Vs another Moded car... Because who wins is determind by how much $$$ they have.... not by the car its self

Rep Power: 0 i remember car and driver did a roadster comparison and they picked the S2000 over the 350Z... i don't remember why specifically, i just know that in that particular comparison, the S2000 came out on top

Rep Power: 281 The s2000 has one of the best drivetrain's around, and its light and they were around in 2000 so you can get a used one for cheaper than a 350z. Check the fit and finish of the s2000 I bet its better than a 350z.

Rep Power: 0 S2000, but I'm biased since I just got one... It was amazing to drive from Ohio down to Myrtle Beach last week through the mountains and curvy roads of West Virginia and Virginia. It handled so well. I love it overall, but like I said I'm biased.

Rep Power: 0 i'll be picking up an s2000 this winter (will be storing it until spring)..
Its tough.. I like the new 350 convertibles.. But don't compare to the S2000 Styling (W/ the hardtop).. i'm looking for either a white or blk s2k... first mods will be hartop and jdm headlights.. etc.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
