my friend lives near me and he saw the EL and went nutz...

now... Im trying to help him out... I need to know what process someone has to go through to purchase a car from Canada. in september, he will be in detroit and the closes cananda dealership is in london, ontario. if anyone knows , let me know. thanks.

Your best bet is to first contact your local DMV and ask this question...being that the only major difference is the gauge cluster in km/h you should have no problem importing once you pay some exorbitant import fee and and safety certification....wait - do US Civics come with DRL's standard yet? They do up here.

DRL = Daytime Running Lights

And to my knowledge, its standard in the US as well .. but I might be wrong.

Also, apart from the jacked up fees there shouldn't be too big a deal getting the car into the US. Though you might want to ask your local Acura dealer if they can hook you up as well .. might be possible and a lot easier

nah, US cars dont have those lights that are on all the time. few do, but i think those are just the ones made in canada

^^^ actually a ton of the cars come with DRL's here in the US ; however, our vics are not one of them... well thanx for the help ... he's gonna call the dealership tomorrow... what are the fees that u r talkin about?

Import fees or something like that. They tax you HARD.
