Sounds silly, But...
My mechanic says my 2002 LX sedan does not need to be aligned because Hondas do not need to be.
My tire guy says he's nuts.
Who's right?
Thanks

Rep Power: 391 stop going to the mechanic.
all cars need alignment over time, all the bumps in the road and potholes throw it out.
i had mine aligned a few months ago, much nicer afterwards

Rep Power: 309 this thread has the word "idiot" so many times
just write down the link to this thread so he can feel stupid. maybe hes one of those typical lazy/senseless mechanics that you can find at your local shop?

Rep Power: 389 To be fair to the mechanic, my understanding of it (which may not be right) is that the rear cannot be adjusted from the factory, so you can't do an "alignment" on it. However, the front can obvioulsy be aligned....
Maybe he was thinking the back?

Rep Power: 310 If you're just rotating the wheels or putting on new ones, that usually doesn't require an alignment.
If you've worked on your suspension, that needs an alignment. Sometimes the steering wheel gets crooked, the car pulls in a certain direction while driving straight, or the wheels are not parallel with the car; those need alignments
