Driving me nuts...

Okay, I have an '03 EX Coupe, and when I run the A/C at higher speeds, the stupid vents move...

I will get them pointing right at me, and then... they slowly creep until they are pointing elsewhere, does anyone else have this problem, and/or a fix for it...

Its been driving me nucking futs!

I don't have that exact problem, but I do have to agree that the vents move WAY too easily. If I just tap one it will go all the way up as far as it can go.

In fact, if I flip the fan up to high all of a sudden, and the left-right vents are tipped a bit to catch the air, it will sometimes fling the vent into another position. Seems like there should be a tad more resistance.

My '03 EX has had the same problem since I drove it off the lot. I'm sure there are 10,000 ways to "fix" this. Until I feel like removing the vents to fix them on the inside, I will continue to use little folded up pieces of paper jammed into the vents to keep them pointed on me. I haven't driven to the dealership and demanded that the vents be replaced under warranty because I figure the new vents, being the same part as the old vents, will do the exact same thing. Just curious, but do the vents on '01, '02, and '04 models have this annoying problem?

I agree that they move to easily but never have they moved so much that they don't point at my. In my 03' vic I get this weird rattle coming from the vents - not sure if it's moving or something else - anyone hear a slight rattle?

I forgot to mention that mine is an '01, so my guess would be yes.

you guys are lucky. My side vents work great and aren't loose, but the headunit vents are a pain! They move up and down fine, but left and right it's like they are glued! I have to jam my pinky finger into the slots and push that tab really hard to get it to move
