Pharoh - Saturn and Saab might share dealerships because they are both owned by GM. I personally don't know and know why they would want to do it just because, if I was GM, I wouldn't want to associate Saab with Saturn.
What I'm saying is that even though these two cars have the same engine. They will be built differently. Your experience with the Ion RL, was bad, because like I said, Saturn didn't really wanted to do this so they just put the engine on the car and that’s it.
I would like you to test drive the Cobalt Supercharged, once it comes out. If all the reviews I have read about the Cobalt are true then you will see what I'm talking about and how the Cobalt should be built a lot better than the Ion RL.
(Hrrrrr... You edited your post while I was typing my respond.)
All I said about Saab and Cobalt is that they will use the same trasmission.

its just because domestic automakers dont want a car that has 0 torque, and has to be wound to 7K to get some power. looks at the torque curves for a D17 and an ecotec. With the heavy cars that everyone is producing now you need some torque,

I think that with a chip flash, raising the rev to 7000 RPM's the car would produce more HP. Saturn didn't do any research on the engine they just put it in the Ion.

The news are on the GM site.
Its a press release to give hope to investors and intice more investments. All manufacturers do that. A simple seat becomes a marvel of engineering. I'll tell you what probably happened they made a cool seat, and then they justified it they did some research on seats and backed it with some data in an article. They make it seem that its vice versa where they did the RD and then made the seat accordingly, which i'm sure isn't the case. All public companies have press releases and hype their products or current events. It helps boost their share value, these dudes make a lot of money.

Looks like my RSX Type-S may get some competition then...

the car's not too shabby, and GM will sell the crap out of em....there's tons of mom's and dad's that'll buy a car for their kids from the general before an import any day. also, aren't we forgetting about a great advantage of supercharging over turbocharging??? NO TURBO LAG!!! and to say this car's not going to be reliable is a joke... GM has been drag racing the ecotec for years now, and if i'm not mistaken, the leader in the NHRA sport compact series is what else, but a pontiac sunfire, and the cavi's going good as well....lets give the general a chance here fellas and see what happens...

I like the performance of the s2000, and I'm gettinguse to the look, but I'd rather have a longer car. I like prelude, I find the front of the s2000 amazing but I don't the chopped of rear. If it was a bit longer, with rear seats, and hardtop. I love the prelude do you think that will ever come out again?

Also it may only be rated at 205 hp, but on the dyno the redline has been known to pull 195 at the wheels? Hmmmmm....
GM underrates hp numbers. I'd rock it over the type S hell yah I would. F/I stock means cheap upgrades for high hp. The S is allready tuned to the max and turbo is unreliable.

Holy crap it looks almost identical to the Coupe Civic, even the tail lights are similar. I'm very dissapointed with Honda
for copying. I looked at and didn't comment because I though it was the civic coupe.
I heard top gear mention that the previous gen integra type r was a mix of toyota paseo and celia. Is that true?
