No More Celica or MR2

It seems that Toyota is discontinuing the celica and the mr2 for the 2005 year model. What do you guys think they've got to replace them?

edit: they never got rid of the supra.. just hopefully they import it back to the states..

anyone else notice that pic of the celica might be a photochop of the front bumper onto an older looking one, cuz i kno they changed the grille but still. or is that the lines of the car. looks funny.

i thought the supra WAS comming back? last time i read on a mag that the new supra is gonna be a 500 hp hybrid... =/

sounds really unlikely, but that'll be pretty neat eh? 350 horses come from a gasoline v6, and the rest is by electric motor. How the hell would you tune that sh*T?

rumor has it is that the tc is the new celica replacement in the states, it's a car that competes with the tc, ofcourse toyota will remove it

as for the 2... well, blame the kill on toyota itself for making it so expensive on a under powered roadster

No, it's called a Scion tC. Supercharger isn't available yet, and it will be a dealer-installed option starting around November. I'd take a Celica GTS over a tC any day of the week.

THe TC is an overweight Pig compaired to the Celica, It cant be its replacement.

Celica GTS = 2500 LBS

TC = 2905 LBS

400LBS..... A Supercharger cant make up for the handling issues the TC is going to have due to it being 400 LBS heavier then the Celica.

And even if they bring back the Supra, even thats not going to be the Celicas replacemtent. Why?? Because why replace the celica with some thing thats going to sell even Fewer units?

Toyota made a Alensadro Volta Hybrid car, I heard this might be a prototype shape for the supra. I read this in Sport Compact Magazine.

I agree.

Many people were dissappointed with the RX-8.
The Z is ok though.
