Door Ding Removal
I have two minor dings in my door and a guy at Sears Auto Center told me that if you use a hairdryer it will pop out if heated with some sort of lubricant.
Or will this just burn a beautiful circle in your already suffering paint??

Never heard of that one. I'd use someone like Dent Pro or Dent Master or what ever they are called in "your" area.
They charge like $50 a dent ... and if they can't fix it - you don't pay.
I found a nice little surprise on my rear quarter panel after this weekend. I might try to touch this one up myself since I can get to it from the trunk.

Oh, there is something that goes on the end of a drill.
It's some kind of friction pad. It vibrates and creates heat. The 2 motions will "sometimes" pull out small dents.
Don't know where you could get one though. You might check with an "automotive" paint supplier store.
Good luck.

Dont use heat! It will only make the dent worse! To remove dings, get yourself some dry ice. You will have to do some research to see exactly how its done, but I know you can use dry ice to shrink the ding out. I just dont remember if you hold it directly on the paint or what. I also remember there being another step after you shrink the ding out( like apply cool water or something). See if anyone else has ever heard of this. It was in the back of a Sport Truck magazine.

hey guys... i have a question. i have a ding on the area below the "elbow" window, on the driver's side. the only complicated part is that it's right on that pretty crease in our body work. know wut i'm talking about? anyway, has anyone found that dent pro.. etc.. is able to take these complicated ones out? the part that makes it the worst, is that it HAD to be on the driver's side.. so EVERY time i go to my car i see it... poor poor me. just playin.

I think you have to heat the area up really hot with a hairdryer, or a REALLY REALLY Hot day, the paint has to be HOT, put some lipstick on the dent and around the dent, then get some tongs and hold the dry ice right above the dent, DO NOT TOUCH THE DRY ICE TO THE PAINT, it should pop right out
