will your car is so sweet man, but what really throws off the clean look the ride is the 1.7EL in the grill, why not mount it in the middle, and/or get rid of the 1.7, or paint it red, just some suggestion bro, nice rimsss btw

Thanks guys. The reason the "1.7EL" is there is that there's a 1/2" by 3" tab along the bottom of that grille housing, and it stands out too much with the red grille back there, so I had to put something there to kinda hide it. Also, besides the A badge in the rear (which I will shave eventually) there are no markings distinguishing my car from a fancy-schmantzy Civic sedan, so I put that on to show I'm still pushin an EL. Also, if I mount it in the middle (right on the grille), it'll be a pain to take it off when it comes time to replace the grille, which I expect to have to do next year, as the red finish fades. Believe me I debated this for SOME time before finally cutting my losses and just putting it on the tab.
I'm considering painting it gunmetal though. Differing shades of red will clash up front so I figure why not use the GUNMETAL theme instead?

Though you do confuse some with your nicer oem looking corner lights. Oh, and if you wanted my thoughts .. which are basically worthless as two cents doesn't buy you much these days
.. you might considering gunmetalling/blacking the A badgeIn any event, very nice car Telly. I should try and show my buddy who wants to get TYCs because he sees them on my car as yours look great. I'd have stuck with my heads and blacked them out if they weren't damaged, but since I've had it - he wants to find a pair for his 1.7 ... I say go buy 04 gunmetal or just black/gunmetal his own .. maybe these pictures will convince him. Again, very nice work.

Thanks Janlop. Actually, I've really been considering gunmetalling all remaining chrome-look stuff on my car. That would mean the relocated "1.7EL", the rear "A", and the shift boot ring inside the car. Definitely not something I have time for right now considering the detail and attention required, but that's a good idea. Rep up!

Oh btw, I hope your buddy's not looking for TYC's for a 1.7 (did I read your post right)? He won't find any, of course. Painting headlights is dead easy, takes an afternoon.

Repainted, my sexy Edmonton buddy. Actually, a little sanding, then painted. Tim and I got our resealing technique down pat (pun not intended) so we needed minimal amounts of that grey gasket maker stuff to finish the job.
If you're gonna do projectors, do yourself a favour and get small ones like Valeos or something....Jimmy's freakin HUGE ones (Lex/BMW, I forget) are nothing but hassle. I'll never touch that kind again.
