I know how you feel. Would be so pissed if it happened again in my civic. Does your insurance cover stuff like that? I know mine doesn't, so I'm trying to do more security stuff. Did you have an alarm?

That sucks man, I had the same thing happen to me before Christmas. If you had your ICE covered under your insurance program, then you'll be fine. If not, then you'll be SOL. I had to find that lesson out the hard way. Hopefully the police will be lucky and catch the Tards who did it. BTW, if do find them and need a hand getting Pulp Fiction on thier *****, let me know!

w1ck3dc,
Really sorry to hear about the car. But if you're 100% sure that dude with the Eclipse did it (and you don't have any proof to go to the police with) feel grateful you can trash the **** out of his car in return. <-- of course wait awhile first... So as not to draw suspicion on you.

It depends. Here where I'm at, there are plenty of crackheads with their cadillacs, rims, and bass. But alot of them are too scared to do anything here with security guards walking around at night. In case they do, I've got the trunk lid tied down and always take off the faceplate.

Man, I feel bad for you. Happened to me a few years ago too. That's why I don't even bother with I.C.E. anymore. I only upgraded the speakers, which you cannot see.
At least they didn't take your car.
And trust me, most of the time it was someone you know, that know's what's in your car.
Thieves should have their hand cut off like in some countries.

pfft, its not about how much I.C.E. you have in your car, it's how well you hide it.
1. buy flip-over cd head unit and/or remove the cd head unit every night.
2. never play loud music in or around your neighborhood
3. never show off your system to anyone you dont know! even though you might think you have bigger nuts when you do.
4. Never show off brand names. (unless you are in show) Including stickers strune about the car with KENWOOD, ALPINE, SONY, MTX, etc. even though you think it makes your car go faster, it makes people wonder exactly how much equipment you have.. and follow you home.
5. heck, I didn't want to mention it, but some people lack even COMMON sense. GET AN ALARM! you might be saying "yeah, well nobody pays attention to those anymore". When it goes off, it gives thieves a stressful situation to work in, and inevidably delays them from accomplishing their task. Giving the owner time to grab gun, bat, knife, whatever, and defend his property.
even though it's cool to blast music and what not, anything that attracts your attention (as a law abiding citizen) will also attract thieves.
simple. i've got 'enough' equipment in my car and zero break in's.

after my car was broken into, i got an alarm and cut the trunk release cable and eliminated the trunk keyhole.
well bro i feel ya on that one, my stereo got jacked a 2 weeks ago, now im rollin oem and sellin any of my extra ice, not worth gettin my **** jacked, i dont even bump it anymore so go get yourself a honda cd player and blast the stock **** lol. GL
Sorry man, next time put razor blades on everything, so when they grab it............... or take apart an old camera with a flash, take the 2 wires for the flash and put 2 pieces of metal, separated, and charge up the capasitor for the flash, when they grab onto it, they get a pretty big shock and will probably turn away, if you do it on the back of a stereo, make sure the 2 prongs are not touching metal...... if you want more ideas on how to do it,,, ill be glad to help,,,,and stop thieves in the process.

My system was stolen outside my house a couple of months ago. Purely professionals, nothing was damaged and they brought tools to cut my dry wall screws which I bolted my amps down with. They also new the location of my alarm speaker.
Since than I have massively overhauld my system I got prox sensors which i can set at my own will. I set at night, they chirp when you go near my car within 3 feet. I also have hidden back up alarms with other goodies.
I suspect was people at the body shop stole my car, they new everthying about it and where only ones that had touched it since like forever. i never let anyone near my ride....
just be smart and dont get over confident when you own a nice car they like to steel stuff, always be on the guard, it sucks but its true.
