anyone know anything bout the 1995 style jettas?
GTS?
GSX?
one of my friends jus got one..he seys its a GTS or somtn wit a gsx motor? who knows..how fast are those?

I don't know 100% for sure, but the only trims I'm aware of in MK III Jettas are GL (base, 2.0L motor), GLS (better equipped, still 2.0L motor), GLX (best equipped, nice quick VR6 engine), and the Wolfsburg Edition, which is a 2.0L equipped car with alloys and a few other non-performance options.

If he's got anything BUT a GLX OR a lesser trim that has a VR6 swapped in, his car is slow. Even slower than yours, assuming you've got a D17 Civic.

Edit: Forgot about the GT trim, which was yet another 2.0L car, just with different wheels and a few other odds and ends.

gsx motor? maybe glx w/ vr6. It's not a terribly fast car. And it requires way too much money to make it fast.

mkIII wolfsburgs only had the 2.0? My bud has a 2000 and its a 1.8t, nice car.

Correct, the MK IV Wolfsburgs are all the 1.8T... but the MKIII's were still 2.0's.

If it's a GLX, you likely won't win. If it's not, you can probably beat him.
