selling my civic question

I baught my 2003 silver EX 5 spd coupe last summer and have since put 13,000 miles on it but I already want to sell it. I'm tired of driving the 5 spd in traffic and now need a truck (Toyota Tacoma). My question is I owe about 16,000 on my Civic and live in the Houston, TX area; can I get this much money for my Civic so I don't have to pay off any negative equity going into the new truck? The Civic is in perfect shape and doesn't have any mods except tinted windows. Thanks.

You still owe 16000 on your car after a year of having it.
You will tops get 10,000-12,000 for the civic. Good luck
I bought my car in 02 EX 5-speed for brand new for only 14,500 ouch

i've got an 02 and don't expect too much over 12,000 for it...looks like ur going to have to deal with it. damn, in one year of owning mine, i've paid over 2500 off of my note and only have 8500 to go! of course, we put 5000 down

spoon will become famous soon enough
If you trade it in they will give you far from 16,000..
even if you sell it privatley you will still be upside down.

I think the absolute best you could do would be about $13,000. From what I've seen Civics go for, there's almost no chance you'll get your $16,000. What did you buy the car for?

$16k seems a little high like mentioned, but before you sell it to someone, try seeing what Carmax will offer you. They do have some branches there. That's if you want to sell it to a dealer. They tend to offer fairly high values compared to dealerships.
