I got a ticket!!
I got a ticket!!
i got off work and the light was yellow and so i ran it and it had turn red after like 10 inch of my front was out on the street, so the faggit officer gave me a ticket for running a red light. Now i gotta go to court to argue to the judge about this crap. I wanna know does this affect my insurance in anyways, or is it just one of those things u pay and not impact your insurance in anyways??
i dont see any reason why my insurance should go up, its not like i was speeding. the cop said i can go to court and argue my point. I took the class once already too for speeding like 3 years ago. Its either i go argue and try or pay 125 dollars.
I sure wish my car was newer

Yeah. You ran a red light, the cop did his job, and he's the ***.
Try to get court supervision of driving school. If you can get one (or if you get the ticket overturned) it won't get you any points. That means your insurance won't go up.
By the way, I used to drive like that. Then, I realized waiting an extra 45 seconds, while frustrating, wouldn't kill me... and it would save my wallet.

think about it..
what IF you were to brake and wait on the red... was it possible or you just didn't want to wait?
in my city, their is this intersection where its like 8-10 yards in length, and the yellow light is only about a second long. speed limit is 25mph. their is no possible way to get thru the intersection at a 25mph pace.
lets say im driving 25mph and my front just hit the crosswalk, light turns yellow, im still contuning at a 25mph pace, yellow turns to red and my front is about a feet away from the second crosswalk. if i were to get a ticket for that, i can tell the judge that the intersection is real long in length and the yellow light is only 1 second long.
if your situation is similar to this, then you have a slight chance in court. if no... goodluck

pay the ticket, and go to traffic school. if you fight it (you will most likely lose, the judge will believe the police officer) and lose, you cannot go to traffic school and that's a point on your record.

Honestly, I wouldn't fight it if I were you. A yellow light does technically mean to slow down, ya know? Not try to speed up and run it as fast as possible just because you don't have the patience to wait a few seconds. You got caught, suck it up.
they gay part about this was, when he pulled me over, he as me "do you know why i pulled you over?" and i responeded "Because i ran a yellow light" and then he said "exactly" and in my head i was like wtf ... and then he took my liscense, when he came back he was like i ran a red light.
Does anyone ever go...Ah, **** I fu(ked up and got caught anymore??? I mean I have gotten three tickets, two of them I outright deserved, I was breaking the law, wether it was intentional or unintentional is besides the point, the other one I took to court and won, but never once did I start calling the guy a ***, because he was doing his job. Seriously dude, STFU and realize that you shouldn't have been trying to beat the light and start taking some responsibility for the actions you take. Take it to court, go to school, pay the fu(ker...believe it or not nobody really cares...Of all the asinine **** that people have gotten tickets for on this site, this is one of those where you look like a fu(king moron for insulting the cop....

listen, this is an easy one.. tell them (in court) you were too close to it when it turned yellow and you felt like you wouldn't be able to stop in time, and that it could've caused a dangerous environment..i've seen a ton get dropped with that excuse. sounds like it was true on your story.

in THIS state, if any part of your car is in the intersection when the light turns red, you should clear the intersection. meaning YOU did not run the light. my friends dad is an officer and has told me this numerous times. but good luck proving you were in the intersection when it was yellow. and not speeding to get into the intersection in the first place.
