Women drivers at it again
DAYTON, OHIO | Doctors revived a man Sunday just hours after medics pronounced him dead on the scene of a car crash, police officials said.
Dayton Police Sgt. Charles Hurley said Scott Tegtmeyer was walking in the intersection of Third Street and Edwin C. Moses Boulevard at 12:40 p.m. when a Chrysler PT Cruiser ran a red light, struck a Subaru sports utility vehicle and sent it into the air.
The Subaru landed upside down on Tegtmeyer and dragged him several feet across the intersection, Hurley said. Tegtmeyer, bloodied and surrounded by shattered glass, was pronounced dead on the scene, but he suddenly started breathing while in transit with paramedics. By 3 p.m., doctors had fully resuscitated him.
On Sunday evening, he was in the Miami Valley Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
Neither of the female drivers of the vehicles involved were carrying passengers. The woman driving the Subaru was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Information on the condition of the driver of the PT Cruiser was not available. Hurley said police talked to eight witnesses. He also said it is possible a camera mounted high above the intersection captured the crash.
Dayton police reconstructionists, trained at putting clues together after crashes, were on the scene with digital cameras and measuring devices. The flipped Subaru showed noticeable crash damage on the left body panel. Ten yards away, the customized P.T. Cruiser with a "AAA" sticker on the back of its tinted windows showed damage to its front end.

Rep Power: 311 that happend about 10 min away from my house it was crazy it happend a few weeks ago i watched the video on the news like 20 times in aww there was a dent in the door where the guy was hit and if the dent didnt form he would have been killed i was told

And yes, that really sucks for the poor guy strolling across the street, he was even crossing it legally (instead of jaywalking)

Rep Power: 0 I think they were both at fault, if you see that the subaru is crossing the intersection while the guy is still walking, at that speed, she would have prolly hit the guy anyways. I think both the pt cruiser and the subaru ran a light, or both weren't paying attention. or maybe that guy was crossing at a red light, who knows. but from what i could tell both cars shouldve stopped or slowed down, watch again carefully. that guy is crossing and the subaru enters the intersection before getting hit while the guy is walking.

Rep Power: 301 yeah its pretty ****ed up, now i am deffenently not going to be crossing any streets with p/t cruisers around or just dumb people, umm even tho i cant tell who's inside, but on the other note, poor poor bastard. and i bet he had like a couple grand in his backpack from winning a big as bet too. poor luck

Rep Power: 347 ^^ That's how I saw it. The PT Cruiser was at fault for hitting another car which caused the Subaru to hit the poor dude. You have to be going very fast to cause a larger vehicle to flip...
