Fuel Injection Service?

Is it worth it to get a fuel Injection service from goodyear or something? My car is only getting 350 miles to the tank and that is even after I keep filling after the nozzle clicks and with fuel additive. I am trying to think of all possible ways to improve this because I know 350 miles is pretty bad.

doood................350 is bad? what are you talking about?

there are bunches of people out here that got lower than 300 miles from their full tank..

consider this, the IDEAL MPG of our car by EPA is 32MPG..

our full tank is 13 gallon....so in this case, consider 12 gallon as the amount of gas that we'll burn for every tank....that's 30 miles after the light comes on, right?

32 MPG means 32 x 12 = 380 miles......

that ain't far from ur daily MPG...

and guess what? EPA got 10% "error" on their estimation anyway..

what's ur driving style? City? city+highway? highway?

my max on all highway was 450 miles from 12 gallon of gas...that's 37.5.....

the first time since i bought my car....today....after changin spark plugs and fuel injector cleaner.....i got 350 without the light comes up....so i'll drive another 30 miles before filling up the gas.....that's 380!!

*AMEN*

well, for our generation of Civics it is deemed unesseceary by Honda for a fuel injector flush. but if it's about fuel injector cleaning you can just buy a product off the shelve from your local auto goods store. to name a few good ones are Penzoil, Royal Purlple, Chevron......I usually put one in my tank of gas per oil change 5000Km or 3000 Miles. and btw, never fill up beyond the nozzle click. it will damage your gas tank or some seal.

i don't agree with it..

before STP fuel injector cleaner (white bottle)

miles at max with 12 gallon of gas: 270 light comes on, 300 must fill up

after STP..

miles at max with 12 gallon of gas: 300 light comes on, 330 fill up..

after spark plug change + chevron techron:

miles at max with 12 gallon of gas: 350 lights comes on, 380 fill up...

Zenmaster....well, there is a difference between Flushing and Cleaning out of a bottle rite? from my understanding Flushing means running pressure through the fuel system....where cleaning is just the bottle stuff that goes into your gas tank.

Try some greased lightning fuel system treatment. Use only once a year because it works so well. My engine growl and sluggishness went away after the next tank. Good stuff. Just steer clear from chevron techron. Doesn't help at all.

Oh and I have rarely gotten over 300 miles per tank.

Any good shop should be able to do it. But like he and I mentioned Honda doesn't recommend it. It could be that our injectors are really sensitive and the high pressure might damage it.

That’s if you are thinking about doing it on a 7thgen civic.

Unless you've opened up the cylinder head and looked at the pistons and stuff, you can't really say that the techron works for you. Trust me it does not work at all.
