What color should I get???
What color should I get???
I'm probably getting a new 2004 Civic EX. I can't decide between Black and the new Fiji Blue. My brother's 03' vic is eternal blue so we weren't sure if we wanted another blue civic. I've always liked the black but the fiji blue is nice - anyone have one in fiji blue cause I've only seen pictures of it in the brochures. What do you guys think?

do not GET BLACK.. its one of the hardest colors to keep clean.. scratches and dings.... dirt.... its looks real nice once its cleans .. put to maintian it.. its worst.. i got a black vic... next time going for blue, red, or maybe white... white is not as bad but still hard to maintain clean .. just my 2 cents. go for the blue.. or go with mealtalic color.. real nice...
The Fiji Blue is too light for me, and almost has a pastel look to it. Unfortunately, it comes with the beige interior. I liked the Eternal Blue a lot. I'd definitely get the black interior which is so much more manly. Unfortunately, black interior is only offered with Silver, Black, Red, and Magnesium. I think Magnesium looks smokin!
I wash the car just about once a week regardless of color so upkeep isn't that big of a deal - execpt in the winter since i live in NJ. I'm leaning more towards the black since I can't afford to redo the interior. I have the eternal blue and ivory interior is alright. I wanted black last time b/c of the black interior but it wasn't my car. The magnesium's a choice but I like the black better.
well the're 2 downsides in both cars being blue and the other black...and everyone mentioned it already. blue is nice but the interior color sucks ***. black is a pain in the *** to keep clean. i have black, but i wash it every week and when it's clean i think black looks the best especially when u wax it. Get BLACK
forget it...get red!!! or white....but only if you could get the black int w/ a white car. i say a nicely clean modded civic in white..or any car for the matter..is the BOMB....i love my car. its red....and well, i love red!!! my toyota was red...my honda was red....the next car i get will most likely be black though...but gonna go w/ a black/red scheme....but for now...a red/black scheme is gonna be jsut fine. hah~!~

Yeah, black is harder to keep clean, but it looks a lot better too. I mean, blue is nice... but it also has the interior... Just trust me, you can't go wrong w/ black. It also doesn't attract cops as much as say, red or blue or even white...

I don't know what's up with all of the dislike for beige interior. I think it's a beautiful color for an interior, aesthetically more interesting than black, and a great combination with Fiji or Eternal Blue. The light shade of the beige gives a nice contrast against the dark shade of the blue exterior. When the sun shines against the interior, the different shades of beige are accented, which provides further contrast between light and dark. With the sunroof, you get sun beaming from the top, which adds another layer of contrast.
Fiji Blue seems much more vibrant and bright when viewed in person, compared to when viewed in brochure. It's a beautiful blue, and looks like a blue Van Gogh would have used in his paintings.
The only downside for me with the beige interior, is that dirt is more easily viewable. So, you have to clean more often.

He's the only person I trust to buy a car from, and I bought 2 from him last year!
I live closer to David Michael Honda. We have a salesman there that takes car of us. We've bought 3 cars from him so we trust him. We bought 2 Vics, a VW Passat, and going in to get the new vic. We might get an accord as well (family car) but looking more into the Acura TL. Thanks for the help though!
I've decided - BLACK it is! Thanks to everyone who gave there 2 cents~!!!

again.. black is THE hardest to keep clean... but it's not just keeping clean.. black shows more swirls.. black shows scrapes and scratches... it shows the depth (or lack thereof) when dealing w/ clearcoat and polish (NOT wax)....
and i don't care WHO you are or how much of a garage queen your car is.. if it's black, you will be upset within 2 years of the paint... and colorsanding/repainting is NOT cheap..
my next car will be silver/grey/gunmetal/etc

Plus black shows that nasty orange peel to full effect! Saw a black 04 Accord which had orange peel which was horrible. Honda has some of the best orange peel going in the business! Still , black when it is perfectly clean looks the best to me - but my next car will probably be silver.

not till you start going back.. 01, 00, 99, etc does it become harder and harder to keep swirls away... and regardless of how well you maintain it, as long as you actually drive your car and it's not a garage queen (i.e. my 2000 has 86k miles), then you will need to be outstanding at the processes and techniques, while using the right products in order to get a black car looking its best...
on the other hand, a non-dark non-metallic color (gunmetal, metallic blue, etc) will still look exceptional after 5-8 years even with poorer maintenance
* note.. not saying you can't make black look good... but it is 10x harder than a metallic/lighter color *
