^^ Hybrids?
I'm getting around 170-190 per half a tank so someone do my calculations pls...
I wish that damn car would just tell me how many miles per gallon I'm getting instead of me stopping at a gas station w/ a piece of paper and calculator in hand...

I've never seen any less than 32 mpg in town. My normal mixed driving back and forth to work comes out about 34 mpg. On the highway I've been anywhere between 37 & 41. My car seems to do best on the LONG hauls with the cruise control on; where 39-40 is the norm. I've been very surprised at 39-40 mpg @70-80 mph. At that speed I would have been happy to get the 37 mpg stated on the window sticker. BTW I drive an '02 EX 5-speed coupe & use regular unleaded.
I wouldn't be suprised if dalaw is right about 45 mpg being possible under those conditions.

I get 40 mpg all day long. The reason for the variation is that it depends on if you are converting to Imperial Gallons or U.S. Gallons, there's a big difference.
I have a spreadsheet that I worked out and it basically goes like this:
On my last tank I travelled 630km on 45 litres of fuel. That works out to 7.1L/100km or 32.9 miles/U.S. Gal. or 39.56 miles/Imp. Gal.
In Canada, when you go to the dealer and see the big sticker on the new cars (where the options and price are listed) it show's the average city/hwy fuel consumption. They quote L/100km and MPG.... the MPG is using imperial gallons and is quoted at 46mpg on the HWY for our cars. So.... 40mpg is not unreasonable if you're using the right units.
