Sell 7thgen for 98 Hatch?

Sell 7thgen for 98 Hatch? So this co-worker of my fiance is selling his '98 hatchback, cause he's tired of driving it and he says he's to old for the car. Anyway. I've always loved that body style hatch. So he's selling it for $3000. It's a DX, 5-speed, 140,000 miles, original motor, 17's, Dropzone coilovers. Very clean and stock more or less (interior and engine) has a spoiler and front upper grill JDM and JDM side mirrors. My question, would you sell a 02 civic and buy this car for cheap and fix it up? Seems crazy, but sweat deal.
well its all up to you. you say you like it but do you like it more than your 7thgen? but the only downside is that someone can steal that hatch like nothing. if i were in your position i wouldnt do it.

what are you going to do to the hatch ?
if your not worrying about money problems, go for it.
i'd personally would sell my 03 just to get an older model honda and mod it to make it quick but people care about value of the car when selling and all that. if your gonna buy his hatch, make sure u use it for sumthin n not just to have 2 cars taking up space just because you want a hatch. i say keep the 7thgen and buy the hatch and make it into a show/race/autocross/etc car.

Rep Power: 332 Nah, I'm not going to do anything. Just dreaming I guess. If i was to get it, I would do it up right and do a show car, but a fast one. I'm gonna stick with what i have. Maybe in the future, when i have the money to do whatever.

Rep Power: 332 motor swap would be the first thing done on the hatch. that the second reason for getting the car. the first was cause its been the car i wanted.
