Formula for waiting at a stop light
This works most of the time I've tried it.
Say you're at a stoplight and you're not the first car in line. Say you're like 5th or something.
Watch the light.
As soon as it turns green, start counting seconds.
1... 2... 3... etc.
As soon as you start moving, stop the old count and start over again from 1.
... 10... 11... (start moving) 1... 2... 3...
When you get to the green light, you'll be at the same number that you were at when you started moving.
So a full example, in case I didn't explain it well, would be like this.
(waiting at a light)
(light turns green, you start counting)
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
(you come off the brake and start moving)
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
(you pass the green light)
In words: The amount of time it takes from the time the light turns green to the time you start moving will be equal to the time it takes from the time you start moving to the time you pass the light.
This works *most* of the time under *normal* traffic conditions.
Try it, and post your results.

Well that formula won't work around here as people tend to forget where the hell the gas pedal went, so it about a 10 second delay from when the light turns green to when i start moving, and thats assuming im the third person in line.
