car totaled

My mom has a 01 civic 4 door ex stock and my grandma needed to use a car. At first she asked if she could use mine but my mom insisted she used hers

well she was driving my moms car and some truck wasnt wacthing were he was going and just like that he hit the poor civic. Its completely totaled and now what should my mom do?

whadda ya mean what should she do? Call the insurance company and never ever ever let Grandma borrow another car.

not unless she is good with the repair costs and convincing the Insurance company to not issue a salvage title. A totaled car will never drive the same without a LOT of work, besides, it is a civic. Dump it in the recycle bin and start over.

Was it your grandma's or the truck drivers fault? If it was his wouldn't his insurance have to pay for a new car?

yeah it was the trucks fault but as pb4k said it wont be the same and my mom said it was totaled so bad she couldnt believe my grandma just got a few brusies

Nice people get the short end of the stick and the only ones that make out are the insurance companies. Screw em. Sue the crap outta them. After all it is the new American pastime.

Totals are rarely worth repairing. Just take the $$ and get something else.

Regarding being nice to the insurance co....??? why? they are going to try and give you the ABSOLUTE minimum for the car. Get a lawyer and get what you deserve.
