Our cars ar nice cars. But beyond that people do very little to the exterior to personalize their cars for the most part. The picture section is prettty much redundtant- they pretty much all look the same except for color. The Mustang board i came from was full of customized cars and most different than everyone elses. I think it has to do with the bashing people get for trying to be a little different and set their cars apart, so all you get is clone cars. People need to lighten up and let others get creative. Whats wrong with adding some custom items to ones exterior? Whoever decided that Civics need to be " clean" needs to relax a little. Ive seen some nice cars just searching the net. A person posts a bone stock pic and gets high marks. I dont see the big deal. A zero rating should be given to a stock Civic. Points should be awarded on how the person takes the look to the next level and ignore the fanatics who critisize them. Most cars ive seem photographed in the magazines are not the norm on this board. These cars have some unique looks. Sure there are some here who do, but mostly, its pretty routine stuff.
Other than that, everyone seems cool and knows some stuff. I just wish poeple werent so rigid in their tastes.

if it's not clean, it's ricey.....
yeah ricey boy yeah yeah..
seriously, there's a problem with our mind....about ricey car..
well, yeah...some are ricey...
but the term "ricey" are getting tighter and tigher..such that if you stick something strange on ur car...it'll be considered ricey....and people don't want to be ricey....
hence..... our "clean" vics..

I agree with you on everything besides this part.
I think the clean look looks awesome. It looks mature and neat. When people put stupid @ss flames and huge body stickers on thier cars it looks cheap and bad..... not because everyone is hooked on the "clean" look..... but rather that it just looks cheap and bad.
I have seen a lot of civic on here that have the big body graphics for exmaple and some look awesome because they are done with taste. Others look liek cheap **** that was only slapped on there for attention.... not because it would look good but only attention.
Same goes for big spoilers.... I seen some civics on here that made a huge aluminum wing go well with their car........ others just slapped it on for attention.
Basically, if you modify your car with taste something that is considered rice on one car can look amazing on another car all because it was well thought out and done with taste.
Just my opinion, I'm sure most members will agree with what I said.

I agree with some of that, but some of the **** people do to there car make me wanna puke. Its cool to be creative, but come on, everyday I see civics with Super street stickers on the windshield and fear this stickers on the side windows, along with nike stickers, and then on the inside they have a tach when there car is automatic, and they have lighted dice hanging from the rear view mirror, and then to make things worse, they put a hugh *** wing on there car, and to top it off, the car is one junky civic. Seeing this stuff everyday makes me want to keep my car stock.

i think people are being like that to clean up the civics image. when people talk about rice they think civic and when people talk about civic they think rice, originality is good and all but sometimes it gets outta hand.
There are so many modifications you can do to a civic. Civics are the best and cheapest cars to mod. I don't understand why people would want to make them uglier than stock, it's just rice. When people on the road see a riced out civic, they just think it's ugly. But it's not their car and not their problem, so just let it be. In this forum, we talk about what makes civics look good, What to do and what not to do. We may have different tastes, but we know what is good and what is bad.
i completely agree w/ the topic starter.
i think that the majority on this site like the clean look. which is fine.
but the bashing of "rice" mods have made it socially unacceptable to put on these "rice" mods. In other words, most ppl will probably not want to put some minor mods just b/c it was considered rice on this board.
as a result, there are many clean looking cars. which is not really a good or bad thing. I've just seen a lot of them, that's all.
and the topic starter makes a good point.
